Crete, Greece
We enjoyed being in Crete but we went at the end of August and there was no air conditioning in the room so we had to keep the windows open and the mosquitoes ate us alive! The beds were also hard as a rock. The staff were unhelpful and borderline rude. The food and drink was good. It was nice being on a sandy beach.
The pool was salt water so there was no way to escape the heat in non-salty water (very salty!) It was hard because we were traveling with our 1 yr old son and there was no place that he could really getting the water without burning his eyes.
