Great little hotel - unbeatable location
Having stayed at a Travelodge on arrival in England, I was hoping to have a more restful last night. I was not disappointed by the Manor Hotel. My room was lovely - TV, coffee, tea and biscuits, writing table and two (2!!) fans since the weather was unseasonably warm. The front desk accommodated my request for a quiet room, and it was indeed peaceful. There is a lounge for guests, and a computer (for that 24 hr. check in for your flight). Yes, the bathroom was a bit small (in my single room), but the rest of the room was good sized with a full size bed. The highlight was the breakfast buffet - a variety of fruit ( incl. watermelon!), cereals, teas, pastries, plus the cooked meats. The hotel is close to the train and bus stop with direct connections to Heathrow, right on a lovely village green, and a short walk to the Thames river. (from my Tripadvisor review)
Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks
The Expedia rates were considerably cheaper than the rack rates. Worth checking. Also - theres a Harvester restaurant just down the road toward Runnymead, right on the river. Very nice and not expensive.

Cute hotel, needs updating
the ghotel is a cute old hotel in the center of Datchet UK.. 40 minutes due west of London. It sits in the middle of a wonderful little English village with a great pub (The Stag) and a great Italian restaurant down the street.. The hotel needs to install air conditioning as the rooms were hotter than hell....do not go to this hotel from June-August.. their internet only works in the library (not always), their staff at the desk are woefully untrained, and they seem to know very little about their surrounding area. Very convienient to the train to London. Try to find another hotel if possible in the area.
