Very noisy, especially on weekends.

Great little hotel - unbeatable location

Having stayed at a Travelodge on arrival in England, I was hoping to have a more restful last night. I was not disappointed by the Manor Hotel. My room was lovely - TV, coffee, tea and biscuits, writing table and two (2!!) fans since the weather was unseasonably warm. The front desk accommodated my request for a quiet room, and it was indeed peaceful. There is a lounge for guests, and a computer (for that 24 hr. check in for your flight). Yes, the bathroom was a bit small (in my single room), but the rest of the room was good sized with a full size bed. The highlight was the breakfast buffet - a variety of fruit ( incl. watermelon!), cereals, teas, pastries, plus the cooked meats. The hotel is close to the train and bus stop with direct connections to Heathrow, right on a lovely village green, and a short walk to the Thames river. (from my Tripadvisor review)

Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks

The Expedia rates were considerably cheaper than the rack rates. Worth checking. Also - there’s a Harvester restaurant just down the road toward Runnymead, right on the river. Very nice and not expensive.

Cute hotel, needs updating

the ghotel is a cute old hotel in the center of Datchet UK.. 40 minutes due west of London. It sits in the middle of a wonderful little English village with a great pub (The Stag) and a great Italian restaurant down the street.. The hotel needs to install air conditioning as the rooms were hotter than hell....do not go to this hotel from June-August.. their internet only works in the library (not always), their staff at the desk are woefully untrained, and they seem to know very little about their surrounding area. Very convienient to the train to London. Try to find another hotel if possible in the area.

’Quant’ is the English word for cramped

The first room I was given was at eye level and arms length from the passing trucks on one side. Another side was the train station. The bed was diagonally in the room as it wouldn’t fit straight in. You could touch all four walls of the bathroom without moving. Noisy, small and uncomfortable. Lunch wasn’t served or available as they had a private party underway...never experienced guests having to miss a meal due to a private event. Outside they had a sign advertising Afternoon Tea, it was clear they had no idea what that meant, their chef told me they though it meant bar snacks at a cup of tea.

Traveler's tip for business travelers

Internet was very spotty. Don’t assume you can make calls or get on-line here

Nice quaint hotel

Very nice hotel in the middle of town, 5 minutes from Windsor Castle. Train station to downtown London is right behind the hotel, easy 1 hour trip to Waterloo station, don’t have to worry about driving. Not many restaurants in Datchet, but there are many in neighboring Windsor. Hotel has free wireless Internet access, however not all room can receive the signal; best spot is in the den-like area near the lobby. Free breakfast, including hot foods like eggs, sausage and hash browns. Only complaint is hallway floors are very old, you will hear every creek when someone is walking down the hall. Also, every so far there are "fire doors" that are closed in the evenings. You just have to open the door to walk through, however the doors slam shut, so you will hear those in your room as well. Other than that everything was great, would definitely stay hear again.

good hotel, but not exactly in Windsor

the hotel has an old part and a new part. we were in the new part. room was large and well appointed. phone service at that time was not working. good breakfast and the staff were very helpful. it is,however, out of windsor, in datchet and you need to drive. parking in windsor is very expensive or take a bus.

Traveler's tip on dining

there is a great chinese restaurant behind the army barracks in windsor. get a warm welcome and excellent food.
