Solid Hotel Choice
The hotel was clean, safe, comfortable and had appointments to be expected from a hotel of its caliber. I really did not have time to enjoy it because I was attending a conference. Although the room was small, it was very clean. A fellow with dreadlocks, who was on staff there was extremely friendly and helpful during our stay. He gave us some good tips on the nightlife and some of the good eating spots around town. The true measure of satisfaction is that I would definitely stay there again; you cant go wrong staying there. On the downside, I booked a King-sized bed and a lake view. When I got there, no King-sized beds were available. I took a double instead, which was plush and gave a good nights rest. That said, I did get the lake view. Solid!

Nice, but loud
It was a nice hotel, but based on its location was loud till early morning. We had our kids with us, so partiers coming in at 1, 2, 3 AM was a bit disturbing. I recommend it without young ones as its in a great spot, etc.

My third trip to Toronto
As the title of this review would suggest, this was my third trip to Toronto and every time I have gone I have stayed at different hotels. Being a Westin, I was expecting something nice from the start and I was not disappointed. The hotel is beautiful, well-maintained and conveniently located near public transit and Lake Ontario. The nice little park right next to the hotel was a pleasant surprise and made for a perfect place to hang out for a while as we were winding down from a day of touristy goodness. The staff at the Harbour Castle were very accomodating to our special requests and everyone was very friendly. On a side note, the room service was relatively expensive, even by room service standards but the club sandwich I ordered and the mini-burgers my husband ordered were gloriously tasty and a good amount of food for the price. Of all three hotels that I have stayed at during my time in the GTA, I would be most inclined to return to this one.
Traveler's tip on dining
If youre into Japanese food, take the complimentary shuttle to the Eaton Centre and walk a bit down to Nami on Adelaide. The food is amazing :)

ver nice hotel
The hotels location on the harbor is wonderful, and the surrounding restaurants and harbor social activities only add to this attraction. However, the hotel is cut off from the rest of beautiful Toronto by a ribbon of highways and railroad underpasses. No matter which North-South street one takes, between the harbor front and downtown Toronto, they are all depressing and traffic congested!!! The hotel should look into a shuttle bus service to take guests to and from downtown Toronto. For conventioneers especially, with their time being limited and fatigue seeting in after a tough day, such a service would be a success. For the average tourists, like ourselves, it is a blessing, considering the no-mans-zone we had to traverse!!!
Toronto Island is just a short ferry ride away. Absolutely wonderful, something there for everybody, and a short wait for the ferry during week days!!!

Comfort with a nice modern touch
Hotel was very clean and the room well-appointed with big flat-screen tv and "heavenly bed." Modern decor made the atmosphere uncluttered, peaceful and free from fussiness. Room service was prompt and friendly. Only complaints from someone who stayed there on a business trip would be having to pay what I consider an exorbitant amount for internet use and the pool, which was dated and overrun with kids, who went unsupervised for the most part. Even when there was an attendant at the pool, nothing was done to prevent kids from frolicking in the single swim lane available when it was clear it was in want of use.
Traveler's tip on dining
Dont even be tempted to try the Greek dive "Alexandros" next to the hotel, even out of convenience. It was expensive and the meat dry, crusty and greasy. Queens Quay is only a short 5-minute walk where there is much more food selection and better quality.

Great hotel
We stayed at the Westin Harbour Castle when we visited Canada in July. We were very pressed from the minute we walled in. The lobby was clean and inviting and the people were friendly. The room was perfect and we had a beariful view of both the city and the lake. The location was fabulous! Every night we were able to either walk along the harbourfront or walk downtown. It was the best if both worlds. And Union Station was just a few blocks away si we could easily utilize the subway system. I am so glad we chose Westin Harbour Castle! It provided everything we needed and more!

the worst hotel ever
We specifically booked lake view room and paid extra for it. Upon arrival we were advised that we will be staying in a city view room unless we pay additional $$$ for a lake view. After short but heated exchange we finally got lake view room. Hotel description fails to mention that parking is 3 blocks away!!! Air conditioner was extremely noisy up to the point when it became impossible to sleep. It completely broke down in the middle of last night.
DO NOT WALK, RUN AWAY !!!

No Mobile phone service
Most of the hotel does not have mobile phone service coverage. This was a great disappointment to me as I had planned to use my mobile as a modem rather than pay for internet usage at the hotel. Also, although there was an HD tv in the room, the reception was FAR from HD (or even SDTV) quality. I will say that room was very comfortable, and that the bed was one of the best I have ever slept on.

Nice hotel, could use better staff
Stayed in this hotel for a conference and booked a couple extra days for sightseeing in Toronto. Hotel itself was nice & modern, conference facilities were ok (could have used better lighting/more natural light) but we had some problems with hotel staff. Asked the concierge for a good brunch spot, and she recommended a place very far from the hotel which was not open that day. However, the other concierge seemed much more knowledgeable. When we went to leave hotel staff asked if wed like a towncar, when we said no they kept pushing it and we almost had to get a manager involved to call a taxi. Not sure if they have an arrangement with the limo company but it made us very uncomfortable and reflected poorly on the hotel.

Nice hotel close to the lake but not very central
I really like Westin Hotels. Nice beds, comfortable and usually modern rooms. This hotel was no exception. The main disadvantage is its location. Its close to the water which is nice but its a bit of a walk to get downtown to bars and restaurants. Its close to the financial district which is pretty much dead after 6 PM. But if its nice weather a 15-20 minutes walk isnt that bad.

very poor service..
The main reason I chose this hotel was because of the Gym. Well when I arrived the Gym was being renovated. Witch is fine I just wish they had announce it on their website... So I asked if they had a temporary solution in a nearby gym or nearby hotel. Well for only answer I had a very rude front desk manager that sent me off telling me that it was only lasting a week and the only other solution they had was to go to their sister location for the gym witch was a 30 minutes cab ride from this hotel... Then on the next day after a long day of work I came back @ 10pm to find out my room hadnt been cleaned..

Beware of Late Departure Fee
Please request a late check-out if needed. I found out (at check-out time) that this hotel has an expensive late check out fee if you do not depart from your rooom on time. Ouch!!

Excellent Choice
This hotel was very comfortable and very accomodating. We had four rooms and they were able to put us all together on the same floor. The rooms were very comfortable and good size. The pool and hot tub were very nice. The view of the city and the lake were nice but the location meant we had to walk awhile to get to Eaton center and some other attractions. It was worth it though. The concierge was very helpful and knowledgable. Driving to the hotel was easy and right off the highway and parking was convenient. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to everyone I know.
Traveler's tip on local attractions
Take advantage of the subway. Especially on weekends you can use a one day pass for a group of people. The subways are on time and very clean and safe. A Citypass is also a great choice for seeing many of the major sights in the city. We saw four out of the five in one weekend and saved at least $50.

Its a 4 o 5 stars hotel and it doesnt have free wifi access!!!!!!!!!!
Im really surprised with the room , its luxurius, but there are a few things that I just cant let it pass, the first thing , You have to pay 25 dollar for 24 hours internet access from your rom, Ive been in cheaper hotels , not luxurius, and its totally free from your room; the second thing, as i said, Ive been in cheaper hotels and always when I come back in the night the bed is made and the room is totally clean, but not with westin harbour castle, when i went back to my room in the night, my room wasnt clean ,so I think for the amount of money that im paying i deserve more, or at least this basics things.

Needs work
Although the hotel is under construction. The rooms also require updating. The best thing about the hotel is the location. You are in walking distance of downtown, and have the ambience of the lake (if you are a water person); of course you would have to request lakeview.

The beds were sooo comfortable
We stayed here because we were attending the Britney concert and wanted to stay close to the Air Canada Centre. The hotel was so nice and clean. The staff was very helpful and the rooms were so comfortable. We had breakfast the next morning in the hotel restaurant. The menu was a little pricey, but the food was good.
