Great Find !
We stayed at Hotel Ginabelle on a recent weekend, and it was the best hotel experience we’ve had in all of Switzerland. We phoned ahead, and the porter picked us up at the Zermatt Bahnhof (train station) to drive us via electric taxi the four blocks or so to the hotel. The room was simple, spacious and reasonably priced for Zermatt. Many of the hotel staff were fluent in English, and we found them to be very pleasant and helpful. The price included full breakfast in the hotel’s elegant dining room, and the food was sumptuous and delicious. The spa (w/ pool, jacuzzi, suana, steam room, etc.) at 15 SF / person was the best money we spent during two weeks in Europe. The free terminal in the lobby had up-to-date technology, a good internet connection, and a large, flat screen. My only quibble with the hotel was that the wireless range the free wifi internet did not extend outside the lobby to the rooms. This would have been an issue for me during week, since I travel mainly for business and need at least one or two hours per day of laptop connectivity. The wifi worked fine in the lobby.
