Excellent Hotel
Overall we were extremely happy with the Bellerive. We were able to walk to the hotel from the train station, however they will pick you up if needed. It is located close to everything, very clean, comfortable beds, and friendly (multi-lingual) staff. We will stay there again.

It was a very cozy yet clean hotel
Recommend to take rooms on the side of Matterhorn as those rooms come with balcony.

Beautiful Zermatt--Friendly staff
I believe Hotel Bellerive is a returning gem! It has recently ungone renovation and we were there while some of the facilities are not quite "on line" yet, but it was still worth the stay! We throughly enjoyed our time here and wish we could have stayed longer! The room was clean, very comfortable, spacious bathroom with a real shower door (!), what a welcome site on our 15 day trip at 8 different hotels! We were so ignorant that we booked this hotel not realizing Zermatt is car-free! The staff helped us by phone with our late arrival and how to enter at night when the sleepy town was all but shut down! The local electric taxis and all worked out fine (an extra expense, but well worth it anyway). The breakfast was wonderful. I think Hotel Bellerive will be a wonderful choice for any traveller to Zermatt and prime once all the renovation is complete. We could tell it was so close, and wished we could have seen it with the all the trimmings! We checked in the day after they reopened and I’m sure it’s fully on track as I write this review a week later! I can’t say enough about the service and friendliness and helpfulness of the staff--from the reception to the food servers and housekeeping! Hotel Bellerive is a great and cost effective choice!
Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay
I recommend arriving before 8PM for good rail access and them you wouldn’t need a taxi--Taesh has plenty of parking and the rail is great (we used to to exit!) Enjoy every second in Zermatt! The whole town is pleasant and accommidating--a welcome change after Paris, London and Geneva! The food everywhere was wonderful, the folks warm and freindly, service excellent.
