not impressive, but practical and good value for an expensive area
Clean, basic quiet,in older building across from train station. Convieniant to all buses to sites and to airport. Good budget hotel. Lots of inexp. take-outs and delis around, also some nice pubs but young bar scene on weekends after dark. Safe for a prudent woman alone.

Serviceable and convenient
The biggest advantage to Hotel Empire is its location -- right across the street from the train station -- perfect for late arrivals or early departures, and very convenient when traveling with luggage. The hotel itself is a serviceable business hotel -- no frills, but it serves a decent continental breakfast, and the rooms are clean, if not sparkling. The front desk staff warmed up quickly and gave us some great tips for seeing the city.
Traveler's tip on recreational activities
The valley that runs through Luxembourg is a great place for walking, with lots of secluded gardens and lookout points. It’s great for an evening amble.

Fair hotel close to train station
The bathroom was a little old. Depending on who you met at the reception, the service can be ’great’ to ’not so friendly’.
