Twin Palms Phuket
Great hotel if you’re looking to get away from big crowds. The lagoon rooms are great to look at but we preferred the more private balcony of the 2nd floor rooms. Just depends on what you’re looking for. We used the Spa and gym during our stay. Both are perfectly fine....you’ll also get a free 15 min "jetlag" massage when you arrive. We stayed there for part of our honeymoon and if you plan to do so as well, let them know because they will set up your room with a "honeymoon package" of sorts....champagne, roses, etc. Make sure to include the daily breakfast option when you book your room. Besides breakfast we only ate at the hotel for one other meal but that is not because the food was not good.....most of the day we were out and about, but make sure to eat their BBQ buffet at least one time. You can sit on the beach or inside if you prefer and the selection of food as well as the quality is amazing. It’s about $40 USD/person and they have an option to include a bottle of wine as well for and extra charge. Booking excursions through the "library" was simple and efficient. The staff is very competent and have your complete comfort and satisfaction in mind at all times.
Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks
Since you’ll be staying in Surin Beach, it’s much more quiet than Patong. If you’re looking to do more "touristy" things like going to the markets, shopping or touring the rest of the island, there is a local taxi stand right outside the hotel but they charge relatively high rates even to go just a few kilometers. A round trip ride to/from Patong Beach will be 1000 baht which in USD is about $30.

Relaxed beautiful setting.
I wouldn’t recommend getting the cheaper rooms. We did and had problems with our room. Also there are only screens to separate the bathroom from the room and there is no tub. We later moved to a room that connected with the pool and loved it. The service was as expected in Phuket - good. The rest of the guests were very chill. The spa was having a 2 for 1 special!! and the reservations desk was pretty nice and didn’t really upcharge that much (compared to other tourist prices on the island). The breakfast was typical hotel breakfast. The Catch club was really nice the servers had a really relaxed cool attitude. The beach was nice but you had to trek across a public park to get there.
