The Hotel proprietor is nice. We stayed in the family suite. The room was clean but room was so-so overall. The hotel has no Air-Conditioning. So if you are travelling in the summer, you’ll have to deal with that. Plus the mattresses were not comfortable, seemed to be sinking into the bed. The breakfast is ok, but they don’t serve well and do not offer options like in the US.

Nice ambience/close to attractions
Very friendly and accomodating staff. Our room was a charming room with a maritime theme. Great breakfirst buffet.
Traveler's tip on local attractions
40 yards from the old town wall around the old city. All in walking distance. If you run - run around the old walls of the old city (ca. 5 Km) Up and down. Perfect.

Lovely!
We stayed at 4 different hotels while traveling Germany and this was by far, our favorite! It is perfectly located and the friendliest staff I have ever seen. The rooms were charming, clean, quiet and the beds were comfortable. I loved this place!
Traveler's tip on local attractions
Rothenurg is a tad out of the way on the train but well worth it! Besides, the train ride is half the fun. One night in this town is probably enough though. The criminal museum was very interesting, a must see. Make sure your camera is well charged...this town is where we took the majority of our pictures, it looks like something out of a fairy tale.
