4 of us stayed in what I thought was going to be a queen suite. I have been ill for 1 1/2 years and just now getting on my feet. We neede room, and I am just now walking without a crutch. I asked- if it was possible- to have a handicapped room. We got a king size suite for no extra charge. It was really comfortable and clean and well kept. There were 2 bathrooms which also made it great and the expedia discount helped a lot too. When we left, I inadvertantly left a sweater and my Garmin GPS in a drawer. They called me and we went back to get it. Since when (NEVER) does that happen? I made sure to give the maid a tip and decided to go back there whenever going to SLO/ Pismo beach, ca. Besure to go- there is a wonderful clean hot tub, heated seaside pool, and out of this world breakfast! It was absolutely perfect! Thrilled in Ca, Jane

take time to go to Hearst Castle, go to the wine tasting at the vineyards close by, and shop in SLO (college town) Lots to see and do besides walking the beach !

Great Value

Ocean front suite - 2 baths, 2 TVs, 2 room suite. Only negative was no a/c and we had record heat for October.

nice place for a getaway

We went back for the second year in a row and were a little disappointed by the room this time. I think we were directly above the kitchen or laundry room because even with the air conditioning/heater completely off, we could feel heat radiating from the floor of our room. The main bedroom was the worst and made it tough to sleep. Other than that, the location and view were great and our family really enjoyed the included breakfast in the morning. We’ll probably go back but will definitely request to be put in a different room than the one we had!

Awesome place

We were looking for a place to stay where our son can do something at the end of the day and we found this place a perfect one. Our room was very spacious and clean. Not only our son enjoyed playing the golf, badminton, chess and pingpong but me and my husband as well. The breakfast overlooking the water was great. The place was very clean, we always see staff cleaning around. The ice machine near the elevator was a plus. We will surely go back to stay!

Great Property

Very comfortable, well operated property. Only negative... It seems that Expedia customers are assigned less desirable rooms, as far as view, etc. This hardly seems fair. Fortunately, we had a desk clerk who gave us a room with a partial view, just because she was a pleasant lady. I’d like to hear an explanation for this practise.

Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay

There are well over 20 local wineries, which are great fun to visit. Avila Beach is nearby and a walk on the old pier is very interesting. Rosa’s in Pismo has good Italian food. Morro Bay is about 1/2 hour away and good for a day trip.

Family friendly

The suites were great with 2 rooms and 2 bathrooms. Perfect for a family.

Great Family Hotel in Pismo!

Couldn’t believe the spacious 2-room suite for the price. Great for families that need a little privacy!! Staff was very friendly and helpful. Location is great and breakfast an added bonus. Would definitely come back ... in fact, can’t wait to come back!

The hotel’s location in Pismo Beach was perfect..clean, comfortable suite and the staff were all very courteous and helpful. We ended up staying an extra night! The only change I would make next time is to book one of the suites facing the ocean!

Great Location

Perfect hotel for our family’s weekend getaway. Kids loved the play deck, the view was awesome. Stayed in a beachfront room and to hear the crashing waves from the balcony at night was awesome! Great hotel and staff was ultra friendly. Will stay there again!

Nice for what we needed, the breakfast could be a little better, great coffee.

This hotel really worked for what we needed for the four days we were in Pismo Beach. We took my mother with us so she had her own bedroom and bathrooom and we had a door to close off her area that was nice. Would stay again.

N ice get-away

We enjoyed this hotel very much. Our rooms were very clean and spacious. We loved hearing the ocean waves at night. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Great getaway hotel

The hotel was on the cliff but had access to the beach, 100 steps, nice and clean would be great for a family with the suite arrangement. Not only had a pool but an activity deck with chess, badminton, putting etc. Breakfast was great, even had a make your own waffle bar. Within walking distance of resturants as well.

First Class Beach-Front Hotel

Excellent!!! Immaculate accomodations and lush, manicured property. Large 950 sq ft 2 rooms & 2 baths provided privacy with relatives (2 nights) and luxury when alone (3 nights). Beach-front rooms at cliff/ocean edge with great surf noise, pelicans/gulls. Closer to water than most hotels at beach level. Walk to beach through sculptured greenery/rosemary/lavendar, palms, flowers, then a charming stairway. Take it easy and enjoy!

Beautiful location, HUGE room, would stay again in a heartbeat!

The suite was perfect for us. My husband and I stayed in the enormous room with an over-sized King size bed, full bathroom with tub and shower, big screen TV, sitting area...HUGE room! While our daughter slept comfortably on the sofa bed in the living area - which included a kitchen area with a small fridge, micro, MINI coffee maker, sink and counter space with lots of cupboards (unstocked cupboards = no utensils, glasses or dinnerware only a couple of coffee mugs) as well as a sitting area, big TV and WiFi. We loved that we were on the first floor facing the ocean. We had a nice little patio with chairs right next to the grass which was next to the path down that leads down to the stairs which takes you to Pismo Beach. Lovely! The breakfast was what you might call an "extended continental breakfast" with self-made waffles, bagels, toast and muffins, as well as oatmeal, cereal and yogurt, some fruit and juices.

Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay

Be sure that you do NOT stay in the suite right outside of the ice machine. It was sooooo loud that we didn’t sleep AT ALL the first night of our stay and we actually dragged our over-sized King size mattress into the other room and slept on the floor the second night. EATING: For Italian food, be sure to try Rosa’s which is just up the street. A short drive back up Highway 101 to San Luis Obispo, be sure to drive to downtown. A nice walk/shop area. The Buffalo Pub has very good food.

Awesome hotel, we loved it!

What a surprise! The room was actually a 2 room suite with 2 bathrooms. It was very big and roomy and decorated so nicely!It also had a nice size balcony and overall was so much more than we were expecting for the price. The pool and spa are great with an amazing view overlooking the ocean. There are also some fun outdoor activities to enjoy like a life-sized chess game, ping-pong, etc. which are located on a big deck in the middle of the property next to the office that my kids really enjoyed! The staff was great, and the free breakfast was one of the best we’ve ever seen at a hotel. A short walk gets you to some stairs that take you right to the beach, which was nice and we were able to walk down to the pier. Our family of six was very comfortable there and loved it. We will definitley be going back in the future!

it’s a family affair

pismos lighthouse suites is the perfect place for families to stay at! our two kids had their own room with seperate beds! to sleep in and my wife and I had our room. we were there 3 foggy days, never saw the sun but we still had a great time. hot tubbed, played ping pong, walked down the beach, down the pier, watched surfers, strolled through the town, ate at Mo’s, and other well priced restaurants in town. view of the ocean is killer! sounds of pelicans, seaguls, and the scent of the fresh ocean air brings a smile to our faces.

hey lighthouse suites put a employee working the waffle irons. watching mom and dads thrash, burn,back up, and make a batter mess of the breakfast area gets a little annoying

Great Hotel - Great for families

We loved this hotel. Very clean. The only downside is no direct beach access when beach is located directly behind but it’s a great walk to the beach and close enough to walk to the pier. We enjoyed our stay.

Bargain Ocean Front Hotel

Nice hotel on the beach at a reasonable price. The only problem was the cold foggy weather for three straight days in August. Very disappointing.

Views from our hotel room balcony could have been better. Room was beautiful and relaxing. We will definately go back many more times!
