Pretty Good, really
Room was small, but very comfortable. The electric water pot was a lifesaver since I ate ramen almost everyday. Great location, near the JR Hakata station, which can get you anywhere around Fukuoka. Also near convenience stores and Canal City, which is a great shopping area and has fantastic restaurants. I was told my room did not have Internet, but was given it anyway. The staff was helpful and at least one person always knew English. Girasols breakfast buffet is overpriced, but the dinner prices are reasonable.
Traveler's tip on local attractions
Dont miss Canal City. Great shopping, movie theatre, many different restaurants. They have a canal running through the lower level of the complex and do different things with water. One night they chorographed the sprays to Holsts "Jupiter (Nat Geo theme music)." It was awesome.

Great for a Weekend Trip
Chisun Hakata was a great little hotel for a single traveler like me who doesnt really like staying in hostels, but still doesnt want to pay too much. The room was really small, which was okay because I didnt spend much time in it. But it was clean, neat and cozy for the three days I was in town. Though, if youre a non-smoker, be sure to specifically request a non-smoking room.
Traveler's tip on local attractions
Definitely check out the market area around the Kushida Shrine. There were tons of fun little shops and tasty little restaurants.
