Not going to return
For the price I was not satisfied at all. The room was very dated. There was a wierd smell that kicked my allergies into high gear. The owner was very nice at check in but after a dispute she and her husband were very rude and irrate. I will not return to the this hotel again.

Old fashioned Motor-lodge
The reviewer who said it was a scary place to stay in a trailer park must have stayed at someplace else - and should have stayed a chain hotel. Is it NOT located in a trailer park - or even near one. It’s located off the main road and thus has a "quaint" old-time motor lodge feel that would have been very common in the 50’s. Yes, there are no modern-hotel amenities (no ice machine, etc.), and while I did complain to my husband about the cost - it was overall a comfortable place to stay. I would stay there again if I couldn’t afford to stay in Mescalero.

Does its job
This establishment reminds of staying in hotels as a child. It’s not fancy ie no huge TV or extra little powders and potions in the room. However, the staff were nice and courteous, the room was older but very clean. If you are looking for an affordable (for the area) place to stay without frills, this is a really great option.
