RIU Negril All Inclusive

Great time.

The hotel itself was great! Loved it. My girlfriends and I went to celebrate my birthday. We relaxed and enjoyed it. The only downfall was that none of us were aware of jellyfish. I was stung by a few within 5 mins of being in the water. My friend was stung the next day along with a few other people. Be careful and if you do get stung there is a nurse on the premises.

You could relax, enjoy the ocean, drink, eat. What else do you need!!

You relax, eat, swim, sun tan, drink, snorkel, shop and all in one place. We left the hotel but really we didn’t need to. We had great service all around. The food, the wait staff, the entertainment, the bartenders, the hotel services were just as we expected. We would return to the place of beauity any day. Perhaps next year. Also visit the "Office of Nature" just down the beach for great lobster and conversation!

2009 Vacation to Riu Negril Hotel

We had been to Negril in 2004 and really enjoyed this area. Decided to try Riu Hotel this time and was very surprised at the price and wondered why it was a considerable amount less tha resort we stayed at before. What a fabulous find.!!! The hotel was beautiful, the staff was friendly and went above and beyond for us. We didn’t try any of the restaurants but the food at the buffet was great,so much to choose from for all types of tastes. We did have a little issue with our shower but it was fixed in no time at all. The beach was great,always clean and it was great having the bar right at your fingertips. You also have to try the Jerked Chicken on the beach it was great!!! Met a really great group of people on the Snorkle/Rick’s Cafe Sunset Cruise that we spent the rest of the vacation with. Our captain and first mate on the boat were awesome we didn’t get to see a sunset but there was a "full moon" out after all the rum punch!! I would definitely go back it was a great time and so well worth the cost.

home sweet home

third time here at Riu. February, September then in October. came this time with husband, and sister - in-law. We had a ball. Stayed on resort for three days straight with plenty entertainment and beach parties everyday. you can’t go wrong at the riu. The staff is awsome, you just want to bring them home to the states. their sooooo.... nice. rooms are marvelous, bathrooms are very clean. The beds are not the best. Our jaws were sore by the time we reached home do to over eating. Dranked all day long. didnt have to spend a dime. The bartenders deserve their tips. The view their is very pretty. cant wait to go back. The club was better this time than in February. The shows are fabulous. We all participated in the shows. The vendors have nice things. the wood carving and jewlery. They really have talent. I miss the Riu. my travel partners were Mike and Michele

Nice vacation

Good Hotel.Very friendly staff.Food for all inclusive very good. Room was nice.Beach is not the best ,but acceptable.Little bit to much of loud music,it was not easy to find a quite spot to read a book. Padi Dive Center was great and the underwater world as well.

Relaxing place to stay

Had a wonderful time. The beach is beautiful. The staff, I felt, went out of there way to make sure I was comfortable and had a great time. Enjoyed the bar tenders and entertainment crew ... they were eneretic, polite and had great senses of humor. My only complaint would be the food. It was good, displayed nicely but, was kind of generic and nothing real exciting.

We were very impressed with the rooms, the grounds and the medical staff. Our 90 year old mother fell in the airport before we got to Negril, ended up with a frictured wrist, the nurse the on call doctor and all the other medical personal were very impressive. We would diffently stay there again but leave mom at home.

had a very nice time. The staff was very pleasant and always with a smile. The food was good. loved their fresh fruit drinks in the morning along with the breakfast. lunch was also good. Loved the fish and steak. feel sorry for the staff that serves the bar due to the bees. overall this is a very nice hotel. They can use more softner on the towels.

Great Place, Amazing Vacation

We stayed at Riu Negril from Sept 12 to Sep 19 and had a wonderful time. It was our first trip to Jamaica and we loved every minute of it. We did not have any complaints with this resort, everything was just perfect. If you are planning on going to Riu Negril, don’t hesitate you will have a great time. We loved Jamaica and had the best vacation ever.

Very Impressed

Beautiful resort with gorgeous pools, friendly employees, and loads of awesome people staying on the resort. I went at end of september so there were very few children, major plus, and few peopel due to hurrican season, but the weather was fine. The buffet is delicious and yes it is hard to get reservation anywhere else but the buffet is way better any way. Eat the jerk chicken from the hut on the beach, so good!

Go to the Jungle on thursday and Alfred’s on Friday. Jungle has soem dirty dancing and Alfreds is more chill and its on the beach and a reggae band plays.

I had a great time the hotel was beautiful and we were treated great the food was not as authentic as I would have liked but it was good

I love the place...I love Jamaica’s sunset...this is a very nice place to stay if you want to relax and have a good time, the entertaiment staff friendly..funny...a lot of activities to do during the day at the hotel...Rick’s cafe a must go.

Do not miss Rick’s cafe, nice pool...nice place to visit! just be careful jumping..do not close your eyes when you’re jumping of the cliff. good experience!

Negril’s Best Kept Secret

Luxury, comfort, service and fun activities for all. I really enjoyed my stay at RIU Negril. My visit there was for my best friends wedding. The staff was very accommodating and pleasant to work with. I will return for another visit.

Miles of white sand beach; 2 large pools; kids pool; jet skii’s; banana boat ride; snorkling and driving; boat rides and tours around the island.

This trip was the second to this hotel in the last two years!!!

The hotel was once again terrific!! The scuba diving was once again great!!! This year we tried all of the resturants on site and they were also impressive. We still love the convienance of the buffet. See you all again next year!!!

Beautiful Resort!

I went with my friend for several days. This place is huge and gorgeous. Italian inspired architecture and decor. The food was amazing! We only ate at the buffet and pizzeria but it was all very good. Love the all inclusive package with all different kinds of free drinks. Great open air massages, nice beach and pools. Worth thge 1.5hr bus ride from the airport. A few nights there were vendors on the resort selling local crafts and I bought a bunch of good stuff. Definitely do the sunset cruise they offer...snorkeling, swimming in a cave, going into a bat cave on the boat, tour of the coast, and a stop at Rick’s Cafe for cliff jumping and good food! Most beautiful place I’ve ever seen on a tropical island. The room had 4 liquors on tap with soda and water in the fridge. Luxurious room too with nice balcony.

Get a calling card before you go if you plan to call home. The hotel card was $20 for like 20min plus $1.60 a call. I didn’t buy it and decided to use my cell phone and i got a $154 bill for roaming and was barely on it! Heads up if you are going to be calling home. I think getting a card in the US is best.

Nice Place for the price

I went on this trip with two of my girlfriends and for the most part it was a nice stay. The pools and the landscape are beautiful. The rooms were ok but the beds were very uncomfortable. The other complaint is that the air conditioning was not very cool in the rooms and when we asked about it they basically said thats the way it was and there was nothing that they could do. The bar and dining staff was very friendly and helpful. Even though this is labeled as a family resort they nightly entertainment can be more centered for adults, but it was very good. If you are a single female the male staff will stop at nothing to get you to sleep with them. We would definatly go back because its afordable.

Make sure to bring lots of cash. The ATM at this hotel is broken more often than not and you would have to leave the resort to find another.

Very impressed

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at RIU Negril. It was our honeymoon and we just wanted to relax and take in the beautiful sights and sounds on Jamaica. There is plenty to do at the resort. I was impressed with the landscape and the architecture of the buildings. The night time entertainment was amazing. We give it two thumbs up. We will be returning soon.

Excellant place to stay and play

We stayed at the Riu in playa del carmen, Mexico and had a great time so we chose the Riu in Negril. My family stayed in later July. The water and scenery were beautiful. An Excellent all inclusive. The jerk chicken on the beach for lunch was one of our favorite. The theater pretty good. A definite recommendation.

excellent Hotel with condition !!!!!!!!!!

My family and i stayed at the Rui Negril from 7/7/09 to 7/13/09. We all had an excellent time. This is the best all inclusive hotel we ever stayed at in the last 6 years. The food was great, the hotel well maintained, the staff courteous and the beach with its activities superb. There were various restaurants and food to accomodate your taste buds just too much to mention. I especially enjoyed the jerk chicken on the beach every day for lunch. The drinks are served in small cups, but you can have it mixed anyway you desire. The one problem my family had that would deter us from ever going back and it is the smoking. There is a large theater half enclose and the other half open to the elements, however people with no regards for other people especially the kids light up and blow their smoke in yor face. The hotel needs to assign smoking and non smoking sections as we had to retire to our room early and miss most of the evenings entertainment.

Bring a laptop. Kids will be happy when smoking is too much for them to be anywhere including the lobby. Bring insect repellant and sun screen lotion.

Great Hotel for the $$

I really enjoyed my stay at RIU. The staff was friendly, and the hotel was kept in good condition. The only improvement point is the food. Most of the buffet food was OK, but could be A LOT better.
