Comfort and Amenity
We expected (and got) a comfortable room but beyond that, the hotel featured an inexpensive but generous breakfast buffet, complimentary evening coffee, internet stations with printers in the lobby, pool, whirlpool, and exercise room. We expected to be satisfied. We were delighted.
Traveler's tip on local attractions
The Sarah P. Duke Gardens in nearby Durham are a must-see. Admission is free and parking is free on weekends up to 1PM.

Convenient and nice
The hotel was clean, convenient and pleasant. It was the quitest hotel I have stayed in in a long time, despite the fact that a college baseball team was staying there. I never heard a thing. My only complaint was that the bed was a regular hard hotel bed, not the nice cushy type you find in a lot of hotels now. Other than that, the hotel was perfect. I would definitely stay there again.

We liked Spanky’s on Franklin Street. Good food, local beers and a nice, casual atmosphere. Very reasonable prices.
