Great location for exploring the area.
Rocamadour, a three star attraction, is perched on the side of a rock clift valley so that the hotels and restaurants have rather spectacular views. It is a busy tourist center so arrive late in the day when the street (just one) is less crowded but the shops, restaurants and historic sights are still open.

Good hotel
Hotel was fine. Attached restaurant served good meals and a great view of the valley. Breakfast buffet at 11E turned out to be a bargain. Maitre d’ recommended good local wines with dinner. Service in hotel and restaurant was a little slow but friendly. Parking across the street was included and was extremely convenient.
Traveler's tip on local attractions
I would recommend Sarlat as hdqtrs to see the area rather than Rocamadour. The latter should be a day trip from the former given the location of the other attractions.
