Great hotel in transition
We went to the El Dorado in the off season and had a great time. Please keep in mind that this hotel was purchased from a former owner who let it go downhill. The current owner is making much needed upgrades. The rooms were nice and spacious, far beyond expectations for what we paid. We had two large queen size beds, a couch, the typical hotel bathroom, and a full kitchen with the following: oven/stove, microwave, full size refrigerator, sink, counter top, silverware and pots and pans. The air conditioner above the refrigerator was fairly effective. The WiFi connection worked fine. The most unusual thing about the room is that there are no clocks anywhere. We kept our cell phones with us, so this wasnt too big of a deal, but it was strange. The room could do with some better ventilation. The room was kind of musty smelling. We always carry air fresheners with us, and that resolved the issue. Additionally, the comforters had seen the end of their days and need replaced, along with the other room furniture. Finally, the shower head was a little too low for me (Im over six feet tall), so it was a little awkward taking a shower at times. I see a lot of promise in this hotel and believe once the family works on updating some things in the room, it will be even better. Overall, I would recommend this hotel as a great cost saver if you can deal with a few inconveniences, its a great way to save your money for what it was intended to be used for - having fun in Myrtle Beach!

The worst hotel ever seen
This hotel is a rip-off, I booked the hotel based on the picture from this site, the hotel looks much worst. I tried to cancel the reservation as soon as Ive seen the hotel but the manager refused. The hotel smells disgusting, in the rooms is a strong smell of dust. It is noisy, all the night, I couldnt stay in this hotel I paid it and stayed to a hotel. This hotel doesnt look not even as a motel, which it is. Once again watch out for this rip off.

Not impressed
Room smelled very musty and everything needed an update. The price was reasonable and we werent in the room much so it worked for us. It also was right across from the beacj so that was a plus.
