Lovely setting outside Lousanne, reasonable, map deceptive
Be aware that the map Expedia shows as road "1" is not the freeway "1" out of Geneva, it is the old highway "1" that runs through city of Lousanne to Berne. (I hired a taxi in Lousanne to lead me to the hotel, $46 fare.)Hotel rooms are nice, countryside lovely. Strangely, the hotel did not supply bar soap or shampoo. Everything is expensive in Switzerland, but this hotel is reasonable and nice.
Traveler's tip on local attractions
If you are into wild art, do not miss HR Geiger museum & bar in Gruyeres or Collection d’la Art Brut in Lousanne. Geiger won an Oscar (on display)for "Alien". Art Brut is "outsider" art, spontaneous art without formal training. Many of the artists are insane but their work is amazing.
