Omni Restaurant
The hotel was spacious and very attractive. The only suggestions I have are concern the hotel bar/restaurant. My salad was overloaded with "blueberry vinagrette," and the staff seemed too standoffish. Dont get me wrong they were totally willing to grant my every wish but there was just a chilliness about them. I guess it accompanies the vibe you can get from being directly downtown. But turn the corner and there is Rush Street with all of its life and rythm so the chill wore off real fast.
Traveler's tip on dining
Rush Street is awesome for shopping (Anthropology has a great storefront here as does Barnes and Nobles for people watching). Gibsons Steakhouse has a fabulous bar to hang for a while and listen to some piano tunes.
