Can’t wait to go back!
The hotel was very clean. The room was really charming, did not feel like a hotel room at all, it felt like home. The room and the bathroom were VERY clean. My husband and I loved the atmosphere, we felt like we were staying in a lodge in the north woods; it has a real log cabin kind of feeling to it. The staff were very friendly. The swimming pool area had a whirlpool as well, and they were both very clean. We went in the whirlpool and the pool both nights we were there. It was a relaxing experience. There was a stuffed bear on the bed in our room, that you can purchase, and naturally we took him home as a reminder of the great time we had. We are planning on making our trip to Galena & Stoney Creek Inn a yearly event. I have already told friends about the place. Our time there was really wonderful!!!!
Traveler's tip on dining
There were several great restaurants to choose from for breakfast, lunch and dinner. We had an exceptional dinner at "The Flying Horse". We will certainly go back there again.

staff members very friendly and attentive. awesome pool area and more. I took a friend here for a weekend get away! She travels alot and was very impressed. She says this was one of the best places she had stay

Comfortable and Clean
I was concerned after reading some of the reviews on this facility. Here are my thoughts. It was easy to find, and quiet. While on a fairly busy road, there were tables outside which was nice. It was nice to be able to get a drink there. Rooms are small. Double beds, not kings. Bathroom small, but very clean. Breakfast area adequate, choices not great. Negatives were, pool/hot tub water cloudy, which as a hot tub owner means it is not well sanitized. Therefore we didn’t use. 1 ice machine for whole facility. No elevator. If you have difficulty climbing stairs ask for room floor. All in all was about what I expected for the price. Friendly staff, would stay there again.
Make sure you bring a credit card for incidentals or they will charge your debit card a daily fee and refund later. Very aggravating.
