OK

This hotel was OK. The price was very good, it was clean, and the staff was awesome(couldn’t have ask for a better staff). A few bad qualities, the water in the shower was tough to get a warm temp. We needed to take either an extremly hot shower or extremly cold shower. There was a bus stand across the street, but the bus only came one in a blue moon. We walked to and from the metro station. (about a 25 minute walk) most of the time when we walked we never had a bus pass us.

Don’t get the bargin room

The general hotel is quite nice and just over a mile from a subway stop. The staff is great. I opted for the super bargin room and ended up with some problems. The bathroom was a module added to the room and wasn’t properly installed. For example, the drains didn’t empty properly and I had sewer smells part of every day and water leaking along the bathroom wall. If I had gotten an upgraded room, I know my stay would have been perfect. Everything but the bathroom was great.

Great Stay

Not much from the outside but inside, the Hotel was very nice. Conviently located for seeing the sights in Rome!! Bus stop to the Metro across the street, 5 stops to restauraunts and Metro station. Hotel was very modern. Large room. We had a room for 3 and had a King size bed with a twin. Flat panel TV, large bathroom with double sinks and air conditioning. Great breakfast buffet. Reasonable price for wireless internet use. The staff was friendly and helpful.

Traveler's tip on local attractions

This hotel is colser to the Vatican city side that colloseum and such but the metro stop is so close its easy to get to any of the spots you want to see. There is a nice little store to the left as you walk out of the hotel where we stocked up on water and sodas and wine for a reasonable price. There is also a tabacceria for bus tickets just a few yards form the hotel. Buy the 3 day pass.

Inconvenient Location

My family stayed at the Raganelli Hotel from May 13-16, 2009. The staff was very helpful and any requests were promptly taken care of. The rooms are old, but clean. We had 4 twin beds in our room which didn’t leave us much space. The breakfast buffet is good, but the same everyday. This hotel is very inconvenient to attractions in Rome. Don’t stay here unless you like a long walk far after a long day. There is bus service to the metro, but it doesn’t run very often

Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks

The Raganelli will save you money, probably half of other more convenient hotels.

nice hotel, nice people

the service and concierge at this hotel was the best i experienced during my stay in Europe. The room’s were nice and spacious and had awesome bathrooms, my fiance loved the shower. The location was very nice as well, with several different options to make it to the city centre, vatican city, trastevere, etc. I would reccomend this hotel to my friends and family if they were traveling abroad.

Good Place

The hotel is farther away from the tourist spots than most. You can get to the Vatican by a 30-minute bus or take another bus to get you to the metro (which can also be walked to in 20-minutes). Overall though, given it’s price, I found it to be a good value. The rooms are very small but have everything you could need and a great view of the city. The breakfast is very good and complete. The staff is friendly and helpful.

Good place for Rome tourists

The Raganelli is the perfect place to stay if you’re looking for a clean, small room, to serve as a base for exploring Rome. It’s very convenient to bus lines and the Metro and provides just what you need (good bed, TV, AC, shower) to rest after your hard day and prepare for the next. The Euro breakfast is nice, not extravagant. The staff are very helpful and courteous. I would definitely stay here again.

Great trip

Although the hotel could use some updating it was very clean. The staff was wonderful. The breakfast was good by european standards. The hotel, although out of the center of Rome, was a short bus ride to the metro. Within 15-30 minutes you could be anywhere in Rome. The bus stop was located across the street from the hotel and the hotel sold bus/metro tickets at the front desk. I would stay here again.

Traveler's tip on local attractions

I think the highlight of the trip was the all day Vatican Museums/Christian Rome tour. We were picked up at the hotel. The tour included a wonderful lunch and visit to the Catacombs. It was well worth the money. Because time is so short on vacation we opted for the Private car transportation to and from the airport. We were able to get to the hotel quickly to start our sightseeing. It was well worth the money

Staff is very friendly.

Staff is very friendly. Location is not that convenient because you have to take a bus to take the subway. If you like to work out, the have an state of the art fitness center next to the hotel that you can use for free. Price is fair for the service.

O.K. Hotel

Raganelli hotel is an o.k. hotel. It’s a bus and two train rides from Rome’s center. The single room I had was small to american standards. No balcony or great view of anything.A room for a shower and sleep. The Staff was nice, helpful.Phone service a bit expensive. You can make a cheaper call from an internet phone cafe.Room was kept clean. The Stay was O.K.If you make the trip, get your money exchanged before you go.Banks will not exchange your money.Atm’s will if you have the right card. The exchange booths at airport, colloseum or around the vatican will take half of what you are trying to exchange.100.00 american dollars will get you 51.00 euros.RipOff.Get use to subway system, find map and understand it before you go.

Watch each other carefully.Lots of scammers.

Room in bad condition

No curtains at the window, but rods were there, no privacy, no way to block the sunlight out. Bathroom flooded when the toilet was flushed, every time. The ceiling light in the bathroom did not work. When I told the man at the front desk, about the condition of the room, he laughed (perhaps out of embarrassment, i hope). I do not beleive this Hotel should have been rated as a 3.5 star. It was more of a 1 star.

Traveler's tip

Most of the employees at the front desk were nice. They were very knowlegable of times of attractions, where to buy tickets etc. Breakfast was nice.
