Good Not Great
We stayed at this hotel because it was one of the only ones that would take a family of four on the weekend we were to be there. The hotel is in a great location and the room we got was a suite (2 levels) with a view of the canal. Our only complaints were the smell of smoke upon arrival for a non smoking room- it smelled better after we opened the windows and let it air out. Other issue was even with window open the heat seemed to get stuck at 24 degrees celcius- we baked! Had to sleep with the windows open all night and then it got cold in the middle of the night. We asked 3 times with different front desk people for help fixing it and got a different answer with each one and it never did get fixed. For the premium price we paid plus extra fees for 2 young children I would have liked a little more assistance. Breakfast was okay and it was nice to step out and be within 5 minutes of major sights. Would look hard for a different hotel if going again because of service to price issues.
We went with a 7 year old and a 2 1/2 year old- best to travel with backpacks when going with kids. We had all our stuff in 2 large backpacks with a day pack, each child had a day pack and one very light weight stroller that folded to nothing. This is not a city for fancy shoes or loads of luggage. You are on and off boats and up and down bridges with steps. That being said we were very mobile and zipped past people dragging rolling suitcases!

Definitely worth recommending
Absolutely outstanding location and very cosy place just at the canal. The rooms are great and the hotel is really beautiful. I would definitely recommend it and will stay there during my next stay in Venice. It is really difficult to find so please make sure you have a good map with you when trying to find it! Overally, very positive comments

Good Venice Hotel
Very nice hotel in Venice near San Marco square and Rialto. Excellent location on quiet canal and easy walk to Valparetto near San Marco square. Service good and decent size rooms.
