Main hotel is pretty
This is a hard place to find. We then had to carry luggage to another place. The second place was roomy but needed deep cleaning and maintenance. The door knob fell off the entrance door. The railing had 2 holders out of four detached and the walls in the room were shabby. The bathroom was nice but had a urine odor. The breakfast room was very nice and so was the staff. The pastries and drink was also good.

Dont bother!
We booked this hotel months in advance and paid in advance. When we arrived the man at the desk said he was going to take us to a very nice big room. We physically left the hotel and walked down two blocks to an apartment which wasnt even clean. We complained and were taken back to the hotel and put into probably the smallest room in the place on the fourth floor. We asked to speak to the manager and he said this is a typical hotel room in Venice. We knew that was a lie because we met another couple in the hotel and physically saw their room. Our vacation did not start out on a good foot. In the course of our two week vacation we stayed in five other hotels throughout Italy and in no other cases were we displeased.

No Surprises
Four flights of stairs didnt add to the joy, but the management was extremely friendly. The room was attractive. No mistaking this for anything but a thee star hotel. Im a Venice hand and know my way around and picked the hotel for the neighborhood. Im partial to the residential air of the Via Garibaldi. Breakfast was good with no upcharge for the cappacino. The room was quiet and the service was adequate.
