perfect location and gracious staff
Definately a must stay place. One of the biggest malls in the US. Houston is spread out. Plan to can everywhere, but worth it.
Buffalo Bayou Boat with Bat viewing is a great time. Museum of natural science is great as is the aquarium. Shopping is great, but pricey. Westin Galleria is perfect to shop and unwind.

For Shopping in Houston is sthe Best
The Hotel is very Nice, I Always stay there but right Know is in remodelation so is you need a Hotel with a Loby try the other Westin, they say that they will finish it in One more Month

Hotel was not recognizing pre-payment through Expedia when checking out!
After buying a two-night package with airline tickets through Expedia, when checking out, the front desk employee was not recognizing the payments done in advance. It took him and the Front Desk Manager more than 8 minutes to recognize the payment. Seems like there is miscommunication, or willingness to duplicate payments. Shame on Westin! At least, they recognize the advance payment. Overall the stay was satisfactory, but this problem tarnished the lodging. I am sure they could do better.

Very poor parking!!
Parking is very hard to access and very far away!!should be discounted for parking!! Staff was Great Though.

Convenience ...priceless!
My husband went to business meetings all day while my daughter and I slept in, worked out in wonderful fitness room, then shopped all day in the Galleria. So convenient! Could come back to hotel to rest then shop some more. A few times the cleaning serivce forgot to replace coffee packets and glasses, but once we called, it was delivered immediately. Would stay there again in a second for the comfort and convenience it provides for business and pleasure.

Good Location
Good location. Service good. Room not well soundproofed. Could here every word spoken in next room. Convienient to shopping and retaurants.

Houston is very spread out and getting around is expensive. Cab service is readily available but distances make expensive.

If youre going to the Galleria stay here, if not go to JW Marriot across the street, same thing but a little cheaper

The hotel is a little bit old and is not a design hotel but is very confortable and the location is great.

Don’t drink from the mini bar
After a great afternoon of shopping at the Galleria, I wanted to relax before going out for the evening. I went into the mini bar to get a bottle of wine, and when I poured it into a glass, the wine had turned to water! Beware of the mini bars! Great location!

Best location in Houston
Is a very good hotel, with the advantage of the Galleria. Very satisfied with it. Only the elevators are VERY OLD! And they weren’t enough for all the guest and visitors. Very long lines to get to your room. Although it is very clean, and confortable, like all of the Westin Hotels.

Not Westin quality!
I’ve stayed in several Westin Hotels across the country and this one in Houston Galleria was not what I would expect the quality of a Westin to be! Here a a few of the problems encountered: A/C not working properly; Towels not quality of most Westin Hotels; No washcloths were left after room serviced and it took more than an hour to get them after requesting them from housekeeping; Before arrival, I made arrangements for a crib in the room, but was told none available when I requested it after check-in. Not worth the exhorbitant price!

Not impressed
The hotel is in a great location but the room was not very comfortable. It seemed outdated. There was even a lamp in the room that not only didn’t have a lightbulb but also had exposed wiring where the lightbulb should go.
