Up To Par
Nice hotel with great ethnic restaurants right across the street. Service by front desk staff was outstanding. Only one block walk from the train (main transit in Sydney) station. Please note that although this is Courtyard Marriott "North Ryde" the North Ryde train station is a few miles away. The next stop which is Macquarie Park is the actual stop, just up the street from this hotel. We made the mistake of getting off the train at the North Ryde stop in the evening. By the time we realized our mistake we had missed the last train and paid nearly $20 for a taxi to the hotel. :( The hotel itself was a nice stay. Thanks Expedia.
If you are considering a family vacation and want to visit Sydney for activities, then stay inside the city. To save a little money on accomodations we decided stay at the Courtyard Marriott and to ride the train into the city each day. Big mistake. By the time we paid for the train and spent 30-45 mins. traveling each way, we would have been much better off staying at the Marriott Hotel in downtown Sydney. Next time that will be our plan.

Extremely impressed and friendly staff.
I stayed 2 nights 30 and 31 December 2007. The hotel was very well priced but, somewhat out the way of the city. Great local shopping and a nearby bus stop. The staff was more than helpful and treated me like family. I would recommend staying here to anyone.
Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks
Stay at this hotel and get a weekly bus pass to save alot of money. You will not be disappointed.
