A wonderful surprise
We originally booked this hotel simply because it was near to both the harbor landing for our ferry from Venice and the Hertz office for renting a car to tour the Dalmatian Coast. We walked into the spacious lobby and were greeted by a very friendly and helpful desk service. We checked into a very clean room overlooking the harbor. The hotel rate included dinner and breakfast and we were impressed with the variety and quality of the buffet at all meals, along with the friendliness of all the staff. We found Porec to be a very charming town with well preserved old buildings and a waterfront promenade around the peninsula. It was a very relaxing stay and recommend it to anyone who plans to visit the Istrian Peninsula of Croatia.
Traveler's tip on local attractions
There is a wonderfully simple ancient church in the center of town that is a UNESCO heritage site. Also take the time for a cup of coffee or a great frappe at the Cafe located in the ancient tower near the hotel.
