Very lovely place

It was a wonderful place to stay, very scenic. Fireplace in the villa a plus.

Lovely spot in the vineyards

The hotel was nestled in the vineyards, so it felt very much like a winery. Rooms (villas) were luxurious--especially for Expedia special rate. It’s a big place, and there were three weddings on the day, plus busloads of wine tasters. So it was busy--not quiet or quaint.

This is my favorite place to stay when visiting the wineries. Always very pleasant and BEAUTIFUL!!! Plus, their Meritage and Sangiovese is the BEST in the valley!!

I know they say a picture is worth a thousand words. Well, this time they really meant it. i fell in love with the villas online. When I got there, I didnt want to leave. Being surrounded by so much greenery and luxury was great. I cant wait to go back.

37th Anniversary - On a Budget - 1 of 2 BEST Anniveraries we’ve had - We will go again

We have done the Napa / Senoma WIne tour - and economy was utmost - so we tried TEmecula - found Expedia deal for South Coast and gave it a try. For the $$ - the BEST accomodations we have ever had - My wife is NOT a wine drinker - I am but she loved the tour and the staff were excellent. We decided we will go back maybe for harvest time. I especially liked the morning breakfast outside the room where you can taste the wine grapes!!!!!

Very enjoyable. Planning on going back.

Room was great. We stayed at the resort for a quick two day, way too short honeymoon. All of the staff was very curtious and helpful. Grounds and landscape were impressive. The day we departed this resort was getting an award for it’s landscape design and care. Pool area is very nice but the one afternoon we lounged it was filled with half a dozen or so small children. As you can imagine it wasn’t very relaxing. Would be nice if they had a separate pool area for kids as this type of place is really set up for adults. Resort is not inexpensive, but like the saying goes you get what you pay for. We are planning on returning to this resort again on our anniversay next year.

I would recommend bringing some snacks and drinks with you as stores are a few miles away and the resort does not have a store for these types of items on site.

Loved it!

Couldn’t have asked for a nicer room! We ate dinner in the restaurant and the halibut was the best I ever had-ever! I will go back and recommend it to others!

Wonderful accomodations

After travelling the US and Carribean for 40 years, I can say that the villa at South Coast was the finest accomodation I have had, and at a very reasonable cost

Temecula’s best

A perfect stay. Huge rooms, gorgeous views from secluded patio, beautiful pool, complimentary tastings, well-made wines. They even let us trade our free bottle of blush for a preferred cab. The only complaint I can dream up is the little complimentary bottle of mouthwash tasted like perfume.

The most gorgeous hotel ever!

The private villas were absolutely gorgeous! I loved our patio overlooking the vineyards. South Coast is easily one of the best hotels ans wineries in the area if not the best. The restaurant at the hotel was delicious and memorable. I wish we could live there!!! Not recommended for kids...

Cannot wait to return to South Coast!

This hotel was amazing, and this is coming from a very choosy hotel guest. The every single staff member was so friendly and attentive, and made every effort to make our stay perfect. One day our room was not cleaned by 4pm when we called at 11am to come clean it. However, the staff apologized and sent us a bottle of wine. The beds are very comfortable, bathrooms huge with every amenity. The room service was great. The pool and jacuzzi were immaculately clean as well. We can’t wait to go back in the near future.

Unhappy in Temecula

General unhappy with front desk people and hotel. Would not let me check out at 1:00 PM instead of 12:00 noon. Room had noisy air conditioner and had musty order.

Not much for nightlife..... Old town was OK..... Wine tasting was very good..... Not much else to do......

Will Go Back Often

These villas are some of the nicest we’ve stayed in. They are situated right in the vineyard and all are walking distance to a beautiful pool, exercise room and spa. The restaurants are great. Guests receive complimentary wine tasting daily. Temecula offers a lot of things to do: great golf courses, a new casino, an historic downtown, 20 wineries for wine tasting, good restaurants.

Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks

We joined the wine club primarily to get reduced rates on the villas when we stay there. The rate offered through Expedia was quite a bit lower than South Coast could offer. Also, instead of paying the airfare and rental car to wine taste in Napa/Sonoma, Temecula is an easy drive from Phoenix/Scottsdale

Upscale winery B&B experience

The hotel and its amenities were very luxxurious. It could be a destination hotel. It was very nice, however, we were looking for a more intimate experience with our hosts.

Romantic getaway

The hotel was beautiful and had many more amenities than we expected. I went on a "girl’s trip," though the surroundings would have probably have been more fitting if I took my significant other. The beds were soft, though the fold out couch mattress was not. Overall, a wonderful hotel where I will return for my anniversary!

Great experience!

It was a perty good time, im not much of a wine drinker but my fiance is. I actually enjoyed the experience more than i anticipated to. The hotel was really cool we thought it would be a normal hotel with joing walls but I was surprised it was nice and very secluded! I recomend this hotel to anyone on a budget and is looking for a great one night deal!

not much night life you have to drive a distance to go to any resteraunt thats open a bit later, and a bit cheaper. However if your looking to just get away from your normal day to day life and do something different its great!

A very enjoyable anniversary weekend

The site was beautifully manicured and it was wonderful to wake up seeing the hot air balloons. The only problem we had was that our room was not cleaned until after 4:00pm so we needed to wait out by the pool.

It was perfect!

A couple of girlfriend’s and I went to Temecula for a birthday get away and the South Coast Winery couldn’t be more perfect!! The little casita style rooms are very spacious and the bathroom is incredible. There’s really no better place to stay in the Temecula Wine Country!

Beautiful hotel.

The hotel was very nice. The wine tasting room was extremely crowded since it was Valentine’s Day.
