Loved the Ritz

Friendly, helpful staff. Twice a day maid service. Beautiful spot on Seven Mile Beach. Heavenly. Restaurants & room service are on the expensive side but delicious. Try the sushi restaurant in the hotel.

Fantastic 41st Anniversary celebration

Hello. My wife and I celbrated our 41st wedding at this fantastic Hotel. The staff greeted us like we were celebreties. They made us feel like we are part of their Ritz family. The service was outstanding and the food was great. The Beach personnel attended to our needs quickly and friendly, they were very courteous. I would recommend this Hotel among the top Hotels we have stayed in. We will return..soon...

Traveler's tip on dining

We tried the restuarant "7" and it was superb. Also we were informed with a recommendation to try other nearby restuarants by the concierge staff especially Alice.

Great Experience

When going to Grand Cayman this should be your first and only choice of hotel. Great hotel, comfortable rooms with a beautiful ocean view, the staff will take care of everything you need. The restaurants in the hotel are excellent as well as the spa.

Traveler's tip on recreational activities

You must go diving or snorkeling. Do not miss stingray city.

An Awesome Experience

I have been to Cayman many times but by far the Ritz was the best. The staff was extremely friendly, the rooms beautiful, and the stay awesome. I plan on going back next year.

Traveler's tip on dining

Eats, Coconut Joe’s, Lone Star, and Aqua Beach Bar and Grill are all great places to eat. Also the bar by the pool was good as well.

no other hotel like it, it is heaven!

We just spent 7 wonderful nights for our 15th anniversary. We were upgraded to an ocean view and surprised with delicious chocolate covered strawberries. The beach concierge was always attentive to provide us with fresh towels and prepare our beach chairs placing soft white cotton towels on them and putting up the individual sun awning. The staff was so pleasant and attentive offering cold drinks/smoothies and tasty food for purchase. Often supplied were complimentary cranberry and pineapple juice in cups on the beach. I played 9 holes of golf at the Ritz one day with lessons with their golf Pro Tim, and it was fantastic. We had a great time! The course was beautiful, and Tim had a super personality with fantastic advice to improve my game. There were complimentary lap tops to borrow from the concierge at all hours to check email. We can not say enough about this resort, we had such a lovely time. We will go back!! The beach was white sand, and the water a balmy 87-90 degrees. My husband scuba dived with Seasports diving, and they brought their boat right up to the Ritz Carlton beach to pick him up and drop him off. He booked it direct and not with Red Sail sports. He loved this diving establishment and said it was much better than Dive tech. I attended a Pilates class at the hotel, taught by fitness instructor Grace. Grace was amazing; she pushed me, but knew my limits. Her instruction was clear, and I learned a lot about Pilates.

1st trip to the Caymans

Cannot beat the service and amenities of the Ritz Carlton. Property was beautiful, staff was extremely responsive. Food was pricey on island and in hotel, but this is true in any Carribean destination we have travelled to. Nice place for R&R if you are looking for more laid back environment. Beware, whole family thought beds were hard but rooms and bathrooms were a good size.

Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay

Not a good location for teens as we brought our 17-year old son and there was nothing for him to do in the evening after dinner. More younger families or couples here. Went deep sea fishing and found great diner/restaurant two block off property. Check this out!

BRING EXTRA CASH

Our recent stay at the Ritz was supposed to be relaxing, perhaps a little too relaxing. By the fourth day, we were bored. All they had to do was the pool and beach. Then everything after that would close down. They had no nightly or even afternoon entertainment, ex. music, bands, games. After dinner I would have liked to sit and listen to carribean music with a cocktail, not that i had to watch my step from tripping over something because the lights were out by 8:30. Also, I read the reviews that the hotel was a little pricey and chalked it up to just the typical cheap people that complain about spending a little extra for top service. We spend $2800 on our dining there at the ritz. For three people, breakfast was $90us after tip and exchange, everyday. Lunch by the pool with a couple of drinks was always around $160.00, then dinner was always between $200 - $400. We just wanted to end this. I will say that every advisor that I read was right on the money about the service. The service there was impeccable. That is the good point that I remember.

The Good Things Don’t Come Cheap

Loved the hotel. The staff was fabulous and went out of their way to help with my 1.5 y/o son. I played tennis, my wife spent time in the spa, we all had dinner at Blue. At all of these venues service and product was outstanding, but also hugely expensive: $125/hr tennis w/ instructor, $200/hr massage, $450 dinner for two.

Great Trip

This was a fantastic place to stay. The staff was extemely friendly and helpful. The hotel amenities were great; restaurants fantastic, beach area clean and well organized (always able to get a chair), snorkeling excursions were great, definately look into the glass bottom boat trip, especially if travelling with kids. For snorkeling be sure to take the bus up to Cemetary Beach (5 minutes) great!

Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks

Be sure to ask about the bus service, it is way cheaper than a taxi and gets you anywhere along seven mile beach or into town without much of a wait

The best hotel I’ve ever stayed at - and I travel a lot!!

Thank you Eric the doorman who greeted us! Adrian from guest services, Jemba in the kitchen and Stephanie at the guest desk! Oh, and we can’t forget Edwuardo at Bar Jack. The housekeeping service was superb. Customer service is really a "10" instead of the standard "5". This is a hotel where people do their jobs because they truly do care about people. The amenities of the spa are free to hotel guest, so you don’t even have to pay for a spa service in order to enjoy the dry and steam saunas, jacuzzi and showers. I went to relax and I didn’t want to leave. You won’t be disappointed.

Genad Hotel on Grand Cayman

Great property. Most of the staff, waiters, bellman, tennis pros, spa personnel were amazing -- going above and beyond the call of duty. The concierge staff, though very polite, did not have or at least did not offer much information. they merely placed phone calls to make reservations. We actually got a lot more concierge style info (suggestions on activities and restaurants)from the remainder of the hotel staff than we did from the concierge.

Aboslute bliss

If you want to be waited on hand and foot, this is the hotel. My husband and I went for our anniversay and have never been so relaxed. We didn’t have to lift a finger. You have to do a lot of tipping so bring lots of Cayman dollars

Traveler's tip on dining

Sunshine Grill is just around the corner if you are looking for something cheaper. Great burgers! Great atmosphere! And Trivial Pursuit cards on the table

Best Hotel In Grand Cayman

The Ritz Carlton Grand Cayman is the best hotel in Grand Cayman! The staff, service, food and accomodations are the best on the island. You cannot go wrong with this hotel!

Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay

Ask the hotel staff about the number of cruise ships in port each day to avoid crowds. The best days to visit Sting Ray City is Friday, Saturday or Sunday!

Well Worth a Visit

The Ritz Carlton is a beautiful hotel. The staff couldn’t have been more friendly. The food was excellent, especially at the Blue Restaurant. If you are looking for a beautiful vista, crystal clear water, lots of ammentities, than this is the hotel for you.

Traveler's tip on recreational activities

The Turtle Farm was a lot of fun for families with children. Recommend take advantage of any snorkeling trips. The water is so clear and their are lots of fish to look at.
