By far the best value in the trip
After passing thru several kind of nice hotels in Germany and Slovenia this Sheraton was like an oasis for the entire trip. Good service, superb accomodations (unbeatable for the price) and only 15 minutes walk from the main area of Salzburg where everything happens. Definitely a good choice.

Good hotel but relatively old their staff were kind and helpful they dont have sweeming pool and their gym is really small

Perfect Stay
Terrific location. Easy walk to everywhere in very good neighborhood. More excellant restaurants within a few blocks than we could ever frequent. Super service from very professional and friendly staff. Very nice large comfortable room with breathtaking view on 4th floor. We were very happy with our two day stay and would welcome a chance to return. Somewhat expensive but well worth it. A real value ina luxury hotel.

Worthy of Salzburg’s first impression.
Among the 5 hotels that we had stayed over the short period of 15 days in Europe, our first impression of Salzburg from the Sheraton was nothing less of impressive. Our room was upgraded with a view to the famous garden, Mirabell Garden, and a short walk to the shopping district. The room was beyond our expectation for the price we paid, as compared to those of Italy, just a border away, which we visited thereafter. However, we were rather disappointed with the service rendered for places to eat in and around the Hotel. We ended up walking back to the other side of Garden in quiet of cold winter street at just 7pm or so. Just be sure you eat before coming back to Hotel, or pay for the rather pricey meal at the Restaurant, which I’m sure it will be good. But we were not prepared for it. Good luck.

Great location and service!
The Sheraton is in a great location next to Mirabell Palace and Gardens and easily within walking distance to wherever you need to go in the town center. The service was fantastic and the receptionist offered helpful suggestions on dining and made the reservations for us. The bar area is nice and comfortable and the breakfast was substantial and had great variety. The hotel itself was nice, but not necessarily 5-star worthy. Overall, a great experience.

Nice surprise
Nice job all around by hotel and staff. Good rooms with airconditioning. (unusual in Europe)Desk staff was very helpful. Location is next to lovely Mirabelli Gardens which added to the quiet at night. Resturant a little pricey but quality food. A very pleasant experience there!

Ask at the desk for recommended breakfast cafe’s. Some terrific deals if you eat with the locals. Loved it!

I expected much more for a Sheraton Hotel
It was a very irrelevant stay, maintenance of the room was very bad (i.e. phone never work ) and amenities were not complete the second day.

Spacious Comfortable room
The room was great! Really big and we recived complementary chocolates on our first night! Definatley would recommend!

Great place to stay in Salzburg
Fine location. We like to walk and walked everywhere in central Salzburg from there. Good restaurants. Friendly, helpful staff.
Traveler's tip on local attractions
A friend recommended the Salt Mines Tour and we were very glad he did. Great fun! The sleigh ride tour on Christmas day was unforgettable. Also enjoyed the Lakes and Mountains side trip and the Marionette production of Nutcracker. Allow plenty of time for the Mozart Residence so you can throughly enjoy the audio tour with recordings of Mozart music played on instruments of the times.
