Central location for transportation...
this was a good, inexpensive hotel close to bus and train lines, which was definitely a plus. The minuses -- the woman working at the front desk was rude and unhelpful (not just to me, but to all travelers), the rooms weren’t very clean (and the maid didn’t even show up one day), and the lift was broken. But for the price and a short stay, it was a good bargain in Sydney.

Has the basics
Room was basic but clean. I was "upgraded" to a larger 3-bed room because of availability-they did not have a single. Location good for CBD/Chinatown...but building has an odd floorplan. 1 elevator was out of service which was awkward if you had luggage and had to use the stairs. May not be for some people who like consistency in a hotel layout(i.e. hotel chains).
Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks
Good value for price and central location. Even better if you can get a discounted rate.
