Can’t Wait To Go Back
We loved this hotel! The room was very small by American standards and the decor was dated and well used, but it was kept clean (we’re picky) and provided all the ammenities anyone should need. That said, if the size and cosmetic appearance of the room are the biggest priorities on your Paris trip, you need to re-evaluate! It should just be a place to come back to and rest for 8 hours between full days experiencing all the city offers. This is the perfect hotel for that. On top of that, it was quiet, offered a superb location (short walk to the Marais, St Paul, Ile Saint Louis/ De La Cite, Metro around the corner with quick easy access to all major tourist areas) great cafes and bakeries near by, a safe neighborhood, and a very friendly, helpful, English-speaking staff, all at a terrific price.

great location but small rooms
The hotel is in a terrific location, easy to get to and close to significant tourist attractions. Overall staff were very accomodating. but I was annoyed that when I made my request to check in (after a long journey with baggage), reception desk staff then happily attended to two other people who arrived at reception before me and made me wait.

Great location in the heart of Marais
This hotel is located in a small alley between Marais and Bastille downtowns so cafe, bar, restaurants, stores, metro, etc. are all walking distance, yet around the hotel is still quiet. The hotel offers free wi-fi at the reception area but it wasn’t working the day we arrived. Guys at the reception had no clue how to fix it. After two days of complaining, they finally let me manually restart the router under the counter and it worked. The room is pretty small and there’s only 3 rooms on each floor. The noise from the outside was minimum but the noise from the other rooms was unbearable during our stay. The constant squeaking noise from the upper floor kept waking us up every few hours in the middle of the night. I’d recommend to get a room at the top floor unless nobody else is staying above your room.
