Small but comfy
Accustomed to traveling in the US, we were at first taken aback by the small size of the room, and the lack of a spot for two suitcases. But after a few days it seemed perfectly fine, and the bed and pillows were quite comfortable. Keep in mind there’s no air conditioning or fans, and Karlsruhe can get rather warm, so be prepared to sleep with the window open. The apartments across the green belt from us were, for the most part, very quiet and our rest was undisturbed. If you want clean glasses and a clean little kitchenette each day, you have to ask - it’s not by routine, but if you ask they’ll hop right on it. Staff is efficient and polite - it’s pricey to use the lobby Internet, though.
Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks
Bring your own granola or something for breakfast - the buffet is way overpriced for what’s there. THere’s a fridge, so walk two short blocks to the market to get what you need for the stay.

Achat Hotel Karlsruhe
So happy Expedia automatically makes sure late check-in is possible. Traffic can sometimes get you in a pickle making our party arrive later than expected and there were no problems checking in. Whew! The attendant at the front desk was very nice. There is a parking garage under the hotel but no lift from the garage to the lobby. You either carry your bags up the stairs or drag them up the ramp (which has no sidewalk for pedestrians) where the cars go in & out. The rooms were clean and their are lots of services available for the business person who may have to stay there. (laundry, etc...) All in all, pretty satisfied with the establishment.
