Convenient nice hotel
The Dionysos is a nice hotel, located about a block from the main coastal road (which has bus service to downtown Rhodes and to the airport, and it not difficult to hail a cab), and convenient to local restaurants and stores, as well as a short walk to the beach. Be advised - the beach is rocky (e.g., 2 inch dia rocks, pebbles), but it is a pretty vista. I stayed for business for a short time, and did not use the restaurant, so I can’t comment on it. The room was spacious, comfortable, and a good value for the money.

Good, but AC broken and had bad mosquitoes
We liked the hotel, found the front desk staff helpful, and the morning breakfast was good. Great pool area, with DJ. Price was good for early season. Major complaint was AC broken, so we had to have window open all night. No screens and tons of mosquitoes. Even with mosquito spray, we each got ~30 mosquito bites. Ouch! Was also much noisier with sliding door open. It’s a bit away from it all, advise you to rent a scooter.
