Italian Victoriana
As a part time resident of Italy who has stayed at innumerable hotels throughout Italy over the years, this gem is among my very favorites. Originally a sea-side Victorian mansion, Hotel Vittoria has been a hotel since the early 1900s, and retains its original elegance. The room was spacious and comfortable, the bathroom also roomy and accomodating. Front desk personnel were warm and helpful, and the dining room serves wonderful local cuisine.
Traveler's tip on shopping
The city center is a short walk from the hotel, with many nice shops. On the walk to the center, many elegant, well restored Victorian mansions grace the avenue.
