Goood value for the money
Clean, right off the highway, better free breakfast than I expected.

One night stay
We were only there for one night and basically to sleep. The room was small, but clean. The continental breakfast is rather limited. The price of the hotel was reasonable compared to others and they took dogs.

An ok place to stay
This is a decent hotel for the price. I was only here for 2 nights but found it sufficient for my needs. The room & corridors were kept very clean and the staff was very friendly. The front desk attendent is available 24 hours a day for any incidental needs. My only complaint was that the pillows were like ROCKS. but upon request I was given a new one. (not much better but again "sufficient") I found the continental breakfast to be a bit sparse (bagels/muffins/cold cereal/OJ/coffee, but I was litterally the only person there at 8:00am on a Saturday morning so apparently this is not a perk that many people take advantage of. This hotel is located very close to major roads & several good restaurants as well as the local mall. All in all I found the Days Inn on Lyford Rd to be ok and would stay there again on a future trip to Rockford.

Ok-ish for the price
Front desk was very friendly and helpful. The room was small and the bed uncomfortable. Had to take a smoking room and it stunk of smoke! But for Rockford, and for the price (in comparison to area hotels), it was all to be expected.

Smoky Nonsmoking room
Although a requested and was given a nonsmoking room, the room smelled quite smoky and caused an allergic reaction. Perhaps the linens were stored in a location that was smoky. Also, I requested a quiet room and I was given one above the stairs and next to the stairway door, so I heard a team of students clomping up and down the stairs all evening and morning. The room was clean and a food value. It was a shame that these things spoiled the otherwise good experience.

an average stay
This hotel was adequate for the price. We were only there for one night and found it fit fine for our purposes. However, the continental breakfast was extremely poor in both choices and quality.

Great Motel
The price was very reasonalble. Management was very helpful and pleasant. Room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Would definetly stay there again.

Meets basic needs only
Though rated as a two star hotel, I think it falls a bit below that. The room was just a basic shelter after a long trip. The "free internet" was not working. The room was lacking of comfort and the clientele left something to be desired. Seems some girls were up there for "business!" We were expecing more than we received.

Great place for the price
Stopped here on the way back from Chicago. Easy to find and a decent place to stay.

Priced appropriately - nice for the cost
Sometimes you book an inexpensive hotel, you get there, and you know why. This was different. For a budget cost, it was a nice stay...and at this point, perhaps because it is fairly newly remodeled. The carpet was plush, and everything was relatively decent quality and nice to look at. The desk staff was friendly and helpful. The housekeeping staff did a great job on the room, but in the morning they were really, really noisy - yelling back and forth in the hallway. They don’t give you the expected "necessities" like shampoo, mouthwash, etc., but those items are available at the front desk. (Note - they come in packets, though, not in bottles or tubes, so be sure to get what you need. They are one-use packets...weird, but again, budget.) The area is nice - it is just outside the Chicago traffic zone. Doors and windows lock. Feels secure.

Served its purpose
Located right to the Clock Tower Resort, this hotel was ideal for someone whose function is at that site. The rooms are simple and small. The sink was outside the bathroom, which is nice when more then one person needs to get ready. There’s a gas station/convenient store within walking distance, which was nice for snacks and drinks. I liked that the movie theater was a short walk/drive. When the wedding I attended was slowing down, I walked back to the hotel, changed, and caught a movie.
