EXCELLENT Location, Lacks Quality Though

The hotel is located conveniently. It is less than a block from a metro stop, within 1km of the Louvre, within 3km of the Moulin Rouge. You can take the metro to connect to just about anything else in the city. Eifel tower is a quick ride, Arc de Triomphe is a long walk, more than 3k. The rooms are bad. The wallpaper in my room was pealing off of the walls. The moulding around the door was broken off and rotting in some places. My friends room was junk also. There was a wall locker/ storage unit in front of his toilet, so they had to sit sideways. Also, their shower head was broken off, they had to shower holding the head. The lack of quality, the price, and location all should be taken into consideration. Overall, I was happy with what I paid for, because I could get anywhere, and the place just needs some maintenance. The staff was alright, we did recieve wet towels once, haha. I HIGHLY suggest that you call and verify your reservation at least a week in advance, so you know you are going to be taken care of. My wife and I brought our 1 year old son, and they came to set up a bed and all.

In the bottom 3 hotel experiences of my life

Don’t throw your money away on a poorly-run hotel that does not even provide the most basic of services that you expect when you book a hotel room. For 2 of the 3 nights we stayed, our room was not even cleaned, we were not given towels, toilet paper, etc. We had to pick these up from the front desk ourselves and walk up the 5 flights to our room. The breakfast they provided was stale bread, juice and tea. Instead of a buffet, they had their staff serve it. One day, we wasted 20 minutes waiting to be served, then the staff member came around and told us it was past time to be served! We were furious, and we were not the only ones. Another couple complained and they were rudely, repeatedly told to "Sit down! Sit down!" Finally, I have never stayed in a hotel that so blatantly differs in appearance from the photos you’ll see on their site. The actual rooms are half the size, the bathrooms a tenth of the size. The stairwell is filthy, doors slam and echo in the stairwell the entire night, the elevator has a maximum capacity of 1 person and was broken the entire time we were there. I could go on, but I will end here and just say, don’t do it. Rude staff (morning, not evening), dirty hotel, lacking services and general lack of respect for the guest.

Traveler's tip on dining

Bouillon Racine in the Latin Quarter is a fantastic restaurant with an Art Nouveau atmosphere that’s not to be missed!

Great location on a fun street!

We really loved Paris! The people could not have been nicer or more helpful. The staff does not speak a lot of English but they tried very hard to met all our needs. Nice breakfast. Clean roon with newer bathroom fixtures. Just outside are fruit and seafood vendors, with 2 nice bakeries and wine/liquor stores. The online pictures are a little deceiving, as the lobby is not as spacious. Within walking distance (1-1 1/2 miles) from lots of sights. A very French/European hotel for couples and families. Would stay there again!

10 great resturants within 6 blocks!
