Delightful and De-Lovely
We spent two nights in the delightful hotel -- a wonderful setting, beautiful building, and quite good food. And extremely nice staff.

Great until you get to the bedrooms
The setting of this pousada makes it worth the visit, and the charm of the cloister -- location of the bar and restaurant -- makes up for many things, but where did the four stars come from? Unlike other pousadas this one has not been upgraded with a pool and has no amenities other than the bar and restaurant. The rooms are unattractively furnished and the bedding spartan. The halls upstairs all feature a particularly hideous cyan and red carpet. I dont get it.
Traveler's tip on dining
If you dont want to eat every meal in the pousada, drive down to Setubal. Theres surprisingly good food to be had there. Copa dOuro, Rua Joao Soveral 17, is entirely modest to look at but gave us the best meal we had in ten days in Portugal.
