Great place for short-term comfort
Artesse is a great place to make home base, with the Andel metro stop just a few blocks away, tram lines around the corner, Alberts and TESCO nearby and the river mere seconds away. The studio flats are comfortable and quiet with plenty of space, a loaded kitchenette, TV, armoire, and sufficient table space. Theres also great free wireless connections! Only problems, though small ones: Shower curtain needs a change, as do some of the lightbulbs, and there was a weird, faint smell in my kitchenette I couldnt place, though it was bearable. Overall, Id stay again ... and I have!
Traveler's tip on dining
The restaurant next door offers the Czech version of "raclette," which involves a grill at your table with small pans of hot, bubbly cheese and different ingredients you slather on toast. Tasty and inexpensive!

great location
We had a great week at Artesse. Quiet location. Accessable to everything you need to see in Prague. and to transport although we walked just about everywhere. Also being a self-contained appartment we were able to have meals in the unit. Although food is very cheap in Prague, it was nice not to have to buy breakfast every day. Great spot in Prague
This was a great little find. Room was large and had everything I needed. Staff spoke english and were very helpfull. The location was right at the Tram stop #9 and allowed me to easily get to Old Town and everything else. I liked not being right in the middle of everything. It allowed me to see the non-tourist side of Prague as well.

Buy the 5 day pass for Public transportation. It was about $25 and was cheaper and easier than validating tickets each day.
