Nice Location, Needs Updating

The location was great, the staff at Billy Bones was lovely. The beach was a bit rocky, but better to the right of the condo. The condos were large enough and well stocked with kitchen items, but the place does need updating (painting, etc) and a good dose of good old fashion cleaning.

Traveler's tip on recreational activities

The dolphin swim and a catamaran trip with Captain Dexter were both great!

Loved Grand Cayman

The condo was clean. Nice ocean view. Office manager was very helpful. Sunsets beautiful. Snorkeling decent at condo, but better up the coast. Do not miss snorkel city; amazing. Skip the Turtle Farm. Grand Cayman was a fabulous trip.

Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks

Very expensive island. With the exchange rate at a set rate at $1 US = $0.80 CI, plus automatic gratuity at restaurants of 15%, dining out on a US dollar is 35% more than the price listed on the menu.

Well worth the money.

Our room was by the pool and 500 feet from the beach. It was cleaned daily and well stocked with kitchen utensils. A grocery store is a mile away and a great coffee shop is in a strip mall next door. We would definitely stay here again.

Traveler's tip on local attractions

Stingray City and Rum Point are must sees!

Nice Condo, But Rocky Beach

We had a three bedroom condo right on the beach. Condo was pretty nice, but there were a few maintenance items (running toilet, missing cable remote, broken closet handle). Beach is very rocky. Get a 3rd floor room if you can. We asked for one month’s in advance, but ended up on second floor. Third floor will give you view of seven mile beach. Other’s will not. Also, since it’s on a point, water is a little rough. But, you can walk down to Marriott to use their beach. We did this on several occassions. Pool area is very large and nicer than Marriott. Snorkling is good, but water access is a little tricky. Pool Bar is a little rowdy, especially around 5pm and into the evening. More family friendly earlier in the day. Good location with lots of restaurants within walking distance. If you want to just hang out on the beach all day, stay somewhere right on Seven Mile Beach. But overall, we had an excellent time.

Traveler's tip on recreational activities

Nautilus Sub was neat. Did it at night for more color. But saw limited sea life. Did hotel scuba certification for two kids (17 and 14) then did two boat dives. They loved it. Diver’s Down is right at hotel and are great. Parasail was great, but expensive. Sting Ray City Snorkle/Sail/Lunch was a great trip. Booked Parasail and Sail before trip. No problems. Schedule as soon as you get there or even before if you can trust the weather.

Wanted to stay forever.

Very clean, great service. Had everything we needed. Beautiful views of the ocean. Could walk out of back porch right onto the pool or the beach.

I like our condo it was very nice, but the hotel leaves much to be desired.

The hotel didn’t have anyone to help with your activities, the hotel had many people that work in Caymans staying there and staff would serve them and gave them preferences over other customers.

Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks

If your staying in Condo bring as much dry food (coffee, cereal) goods with you as possible. The cost of food is about 40% higher there then in the states.

Nice home away from home

The condo was clean and the kitchen well stocked. The utensils, cookware and dinnerware were all in very good condition. The only thing I would change is to have more comfortable bed pillows. The maid service was great! We found the condo’s beach to be among the best snorkeling on the island. My son even saw a sea turtle swim right underneath him.

Traveler's tip on local attractions

Our favorite activities were Stingray City, the turtle farm, snorkeling all over, and visiting Rum Point (loved the shade and tranquility there!)

Grand Cayman Condo

Unit 213 was clean, modern and comfortable. It was a little too close to the pool bar. The bar did shut down at 9, but it was pretty noisy up till then. Recommend finding a unit as close to the beach as possible to stay away from the bar end of the complex. Definitely would return for price and comfort.

Traveler's tip on recreational activities

Divers Down in Georgetown was a nice group to dive with.

We did not want to leave!!!!

We will never stay anywhere else!!!! This was our 5th time in Grand Cayman(1st time with kids, ages 5 and 7) Everything about it we loved! A true vacation for both parents and children. Beach was large and well maintained and great for snorkeling.

Traveler's tip on local attractions

Don’t miss stingray city or the turtle farm.

Great Trip...Great Condo!

The view from 131 was simply marvelous! We took 10 or 20 pictures of each day’s sunset-just outside our window. It was 15 steps to the beach! The condo had 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, a dining room, kitchen, and living room. All were in first rate condition. Go! Enjoy!

Traveler's tip on recreational activities

Don’t miss the chance to dive Cayman. It is rightfully known as one of the best destinations in the world! We used Foster’s with great satisfaction, but there are several other really top drawer operators on the island.

Loved it!!

The condo was wonderful. When we first went in it was so clean and new looking that I wondered if we were the first guests to stay there. The kitchen had everything you could possibly need. The beach is great for snorkeling. The pool bar is a lot of fun!

Can’t wait until next year!

Condos were better than expected, we had a great view and the pool bar was fun, bartenders were excellent. We didn’t even go on a snorkeling trip because the reef in front of the resort was outstanding! We have been to the Island 7 times and this is the first time we want to go back to the same place. Nice job!
