Little Pico Resort, A Big Surprise
As a last minute trip to Killington Vermont came up for us we were having difficulty finding a place to stay on a Saturday night. We were offered a Pico Mountain Resort condo through Expedia for a very reasonable rate at this time of year. The room was well appointed, decorated nice, Nautica bed linens etc, flat screen tv and very comfortable. These are condos belonging to people who allow the Resort staff to rent them out. So much nicer than the average hotel or motel room. Had we stayed longer we could have taken advantage of the cozy fireplace stacked with firewood and the large kitchen for cooking and entertaining. We definitely will try to book this location for future visits!
Traveler's tip on dining
A few miles down the mountian from Pico is a cute little wood-sided gift shop/restaurant called Sugar and Spice. The most wonderful Vermont country breakfast experience awaits you in their 2 level but very cozy inn.
