Hidden Gem in Bachelor Gulch!

Wow!!! My husband and I just recently returned from staying at Snow Cloud Lodge in Bachelor Gulch (which is near Beaver Creek). A friend of ours had stayed at Snow Cloud when she attended a conference at the Ritz Carlton Bachelor Gulch (which is located right next door to Snow Cloud). She kept telling us what a hidden gem Snow Cloud was so we had to see for ourself. The condo we stayed in was very spacious with high end finishes. It was ground level (so you could walk right out to the ski slope) and we sat outside on the patio and enjoyed the sunset along with a glass of wine. Although it was Fall when we went (so no sking!) the view was spectacular and the trees were so beautiful because they were turning gold in color. The staff at Snow Cloud were so friendly, the grounds were impeccable and the underground parking was a nice touch. The lodge itself is not very large, maybe 50 - 60 condos so it was nice to stay in a small, quaint lodge. When we pulled into Snow Cloud and went into the lobby it was very nicely decorated with views of the two outdoor hot tubs and the ski slope. We may very well have to come back during ski season!!

Bachelor Gulch is Heaven

We booked our stay for a Bachelor Gulch unit and stayed in a three bedroom Hummingbird Lodge condo. They had on-site management, a clubhouse, hot tubs, work-out facility and firepit! The condo was very nicely furnished and although we didn’t need it this particular time, it’s nice to know there is a/c here. Being so high on the mountain offered spectacular views of the changing leaves and it was soooo quiet; a welcome change from the city life. We had a chance to enjoy the landscaping and beautiful flowers before the season changed and we just felt very comfortable and relaxed as we enjoyed our BBQ grill on the patio. If you haven’t driven up bachelor Gulch, make it something you HAVE to do next timne you are in Beaver Creek!

Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks

If you ned to get away from the front range and want to enjoy some wonderful food, wait until the fall specials are offered are many of the local restaurants so you can save a few dollars or eat out more than once.

amazing - i wish i could have bought the condo - which was for sale!

what a treat! - this unit was perfect! It was beautifully appointed with a gourmet kitchen and so tastefully decorated. The porch was peaceful - I cant wait to go back and treat myself again!

Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay

be sure to spend some time at the Ritz pool and spa while there! - the unit comes with access. It is amazing - take the free shuttle - they charge for parking at the Ritz, naturally!
