Its OK
Its okay for a 3 star hotel. Some of the staff is pleasant, others are kinda hostile. My room wasnt ready when I checked in, but in fairness, they did everything they can to redeem the situation and more than make up for it. Front staff can speak english but others dont have a good command of the language. Overall satisfaction, I say not bad for a local hotel.

A little shabby, but comfortable
The Hotel is a little shabby. Is it very old one? Except status of building itself, I was satisfied in The hotel Service. Especially, the first time I contacted that hotel by telephone, I recieved a deep impression from a receptionist called Jilly(or ShanShan). She guided me to enter this homepage and book a room. Give thanks to her.

Great price, but you get what you pay for
This was one of the least expensive hotels that I was able to find in Xian that wasnt too far out of the way. Although the staff way extremely friendly and tried in earnest to be helpful, there were very serious things wrong with this place. First, the hotel is NOT on East Street (Dong Da Jie) as the address implies. Its on the little street BEHIND (1 block south) of East Street. I thank the other reviewers for pointing that out, as it would have been a problem finding this place otherwise. The shower was completely covered with mold and mildew (it was fuzzy), and there was no cleaning of the shower during my stay there. Even though I was on a "non-smoking" floor, nearly all of my neighbors smoked and there was persistent all-pervasive second hand smoke lingering in the room all the time. The walls are wafer thin and I could hear the goings-on in the room next door throughout the night. If you are on a budget and need a private room, then this place is OK. Otherwise, it would be better to stay at the hostel. About 50 channels on the TV for free, but all are in Mandarin.
Traveler's tip on local attractions
DO NOT listen anybody that says they will take you to the 306 bus to the Terracotta Soldiers. The 306 bus ONLY leaves from the plaza practically RIGHT IN FRONT of the train station entrance. It is slightly to the right. DO NOT take the bus from anywhere else or youll end up being taken for a ride. The scammers are SO AGRESSIVE that one was trying to pull me off the 306 bus as I was climbing on board, saying that it was the wrong bus.
