Not impressed
This is not a bad hotel by no means but the pictures that were displayed on Expedia were absolutely not what the room i rented looked like. The picture on the website shows a nice recently updated hotel but when i arrived it was not what the room looked like. almost like they had renovated some portions of the hotel such as the lobby and the front. the elevators to go up to your room are very outdated and do not seem sturdy. in otherwords i was not to upset about it cause i had read another review similar to this and it was still decent but not what the pictures showed and i only stayed 2 nights and did not spend a lot of time at the hotel. Also the hotel was one of the cheapest on expedia so do not expect the best. The front desk staff were very nice and there are security officers at night in the front of the hotel.
Traveler's tip on dining
The main plus about this hotel is there are plenty of places to eat within a couple of miles. Very handy when your looking for something quick or a resturant to sit down and have a nice dinner.

Pleasant Surprise
This hotel is in a very good and safe location for visiting College Park (8 miles) and getting the Metro into DC. The hallways are a little worn but the room I was in was very nice. The pool area sucked with limited hours and a broken hot tub. The work out area has 4 machines does in a pinch. High speed wireless works great and you can walk to shopping and restaurants. Breakfast very solid, staff very friendly.

Good hotel for good price.
We went to the hotel in mid-March and it was pretty quiet with a mall nearby and lots of dining that was relatively close. You definately need a car to get by to visit DC or Baltimore. Hotel was very clean when we got there, but the everyday maintenace was kind of "rushed" but overall it was a great place to sleep. But the pool is really small so if you have kids they will not be happy.
