Great Deal

More room and more luxury than a suite hotel for a great price.Try it you will love it.

Traveler's tip on local attractions

Do not miss Jamestown but allow plenty of time. Take the tour and the new museum/gallery requires at least two hours to do it right. The tour is ninety minutes.

On the Verge of Dingy

Our two bedroom town house was not new, and not immaculate. There were stains and damage on surfaces, including mold in the bathrooms. The master tub was not functional, the diswasher made a racket and one of the (four!) TV’s had faulty audio so that it emitted a high-pitched squeel when in use. The lighting throughout was problematic to me. The master bedroom had no windows! and many of the fixtures used dim bulbs. Most of our stay, we had little contact with other guests, but we could hear them in the parking lot and especially in the entrance to the town house. The double door entry forces you to share the HEAVY outer door with other guests and coming and goings were VERY noisy, with lots of slams and bangs. The indoor aquatic center pool had questionable water quality and the outer door pools were crowded and not particularly child friendly to our school-aged kids. There were too many rules. The hot tub was forbidden, filled with overweight senior citizens and had no functioning jets. We had a good vacation anyway and were happy to stay in an apartment-like setting. For the money, however, the accomodations were far from plush-- not at all luxurious. If the facilities were newer and cleaner, I’d have a better opinion. Overall, it was OK, but I was left feeling like they could have done a better job, or that maybe we just got unlucky and had an old, beat-up unit. APL and Family.

Traveler's tip on dining

Best dining experience for us was "Food for Thought"--in an area rife with chains and pancake houses this was a unique, well-run restaurant with a high-end concept. Not at all predictable, a little pricey but worth it for excellent food and service.

Had an amazing stay & was more than impressed!

My fiance and I took an extended Labor Day weekend vacation to Williamsburg (we are from Upstate NY) and couldn’t have been more surprised or impressed with King’s Creek. Like many others, I was hesitant to stay here because of some of the bad reviews I had read on this site. However, it turned out to be more than I could have hoped for! We stayed on Squirrel Lane (I think that was the name), number 3A, and the place was gorgeous. 2 bedrooms, full kitchen, 2 and a half baths, a flat screen in the living room. The place was spotless. The absolutely ONLY complaints I have is that the bed was somewhat hard (not enough so that I couldn’t sleep, but definitely not a pillow-top mattress), and we could not check in any earlier than the stated 4 pm time. We arrived around 1 pm, so we had to find something to do until 4. However, we were allowed to use the pool facilities, so we changed in the locker room and spent a couple hours by the pool! Overall, I would recommend this place to anyone. The staff was extremely nice, and the grounds were gorgeous. We had a blast!

Traveler's tip on local attractions

Busch Gardens is literally a 5 minute drive, Water Country USA is 30 seconds down the road. Very convenient Target/Kohl’s plaza to get anything you might need. Also went into downtown Williamsburg for dinner - so adorable and quaint. Tons of little shops around to waste time in, along with the Prime Outlets (about 10-15 minute drive) which you could spend an entire DAY in; they are huge!

Excellent Site

The accomdations at this facility were outstanding. I stayed in a one bedroom cottage with at pull out sofa bed. It slept four comfortably. If offered a washer and dryer (which really came in handy with active children); jetted spa tub & shower; and kitchen equipped with dishes. They also provided all the cleaning products (although we brought our own), vacuum, & ironing board. We did not want for anything. The amenities offered outside of the room were also outstanding: exercise room, indoor/outdoor pools, steam & sauna rooms, jacuzzies, and a game room (which could have been a lot bigger & more games). I have an eight year old son who took advantage of all they had to offer. We had a blast. Looking to return again in the near future.

Traveler's tip on local attractions

Right next door to Water Country USA (could have walked) & 1 mile from Busch Gardens.

Good location, bad service

The location is good if you are going to Busch Gardens and the water park, but for all else it isn’t so great. Walls in the condo had holes punched in them. Walls were also paper-thin, so we could hear the neighbor’s TV blasting all night long. Not a good place.

Would Stay Again

We had a great place to stay. No complaints. Fast check in, beautiful pools, very clean and close to many attractions.

Traveler's tip on local attractions

Be sure to visit Busch Gardens and Norfolk for the big tall ship boat ride.

Would stay here again

My only complaint would be that check-out time was too early, 10 AM, and our key stopped working in the door about 10 minutes before that. We had to prop the door open when taking out out things so we wouldn’t get locked out. The location is right next to Water Country and very close to Busch Gardens.

Too many timeshare promotions

Nice location and decent property, however this is all ruined by the large number of people taking advantage of timeshare promotions. There were large groups of people sharing rooms in what appeared to be an attempt to take advantage of some type of special offer if you go on a timeshare presentation. Would not go back again if these tours are being offered.

Great Location!!!!

Check in was a breeze the front desk staff was extremely helpful. Rooms were clean and but I believe the bathroom area was missed especially the tub. It was not cleaned and jets were clogged with muck. There was complementary coffee, filters, dishwasher soap, laundry soap.Plenty of dishes, glasses, pots, pans and utensils. There is a toaster and blender and microwave, full size electric stove and oven Gas BBQ grills were checked everyday by maintenance, outside garbage pails were emptied everyday.Withing walking distance to water country USA, no more than 10 minutes to Busch gardens and downtown Williamsburg. The pool area is okay there is a lot of room for improvement. Overall this is a great location if you’re looking to shop and visit the attractions in williamburg.

Check out Water Country USA, Busch Gardens and Haunted Dinner Theater. Prime Outlets about 15 mins away.

Would love to go back!

These are basically townhouses. Bedrooms were in the basement so they stayed cooler and the living area and kitchen were on the main level. Outside is a picnic table and grill. The main building has an indoor pool, an outdoor pool, a sauna, 2 whirlpools and a fitness center. It truly felt like a home away from home. Easily accessible and close to Busch Gardens and Colonial Williamsburg this is a great place to stay with a family.

Traveler's tip on local attractions

If your going to Busch Gardens, we saw many people bringing in bottled water and snack bags. There are also drinking fountains to refill the water bottles.

Great location and comfort

Check in was a breeze, we needed extra "keys" and that was no problem. Rooms were clean and big. There was complementary coffee, filters, dishwasher soap, laundry soap.Plenty of dishes, glasses, pots, pans and utensils. There is a toaster and blender and microwave, full size electric stove and oven Gas BBQ grills were checked everyday by maintenance, outside garbage pails were emptied everyday.Withing walking distance to twater park, no more than 10 minutes to Busch gardens and downtown Williamsburg. The only complaint we have is the pool area by the Townes. The hot tub was not all that hot and most of the jets did not work properly. Also the pool is separated into three pools by a walls. The deep end is suppose to be for 18 year olds and older but this was not enforced. The tables were not cleaned daily, some were pretty sticky. Overall this is a great place that we would use again.

Beautiful, up to date accomadations

King’s Creek Plantation provided us with a beautiful, new cottage. The location was great for our family (right next to Water Country USA) The property was well maintained. Our only disappointment was that neither of the hot tubs worked.

Great place for families

King’s Creek Plantation was all we hoped it would be. We were a little nervous about staying somewhere sight-unseen, but the place was fantastic. We stayed in one of the two-bedroom cottages. Peaceful, quiet, very clean... a home away from home.

Very close to Water Country USA, but you will still need to drive there. There’s a shopping center with a Target just down the road, so it’s easy to pick up snacks, sunscreen, or whatever you might have forgotten to pack.

Would love to go back for a longer stay.

We had a cottage and it was fantastic! It was like home away from home. Everything you needed, especially in the kitchens, bedrooms, for pull out sofas, bathrooms etc. was available. The cottage was very clean and well kept. We especially loved the TVs in the bedrooms for the kids, and the three porches we had. The indoor swimming pool was a big help with the kids on rainy days. The staff was superb! The location was convenient to all the attractions. There is nothing that I would change except I wished we had planned to stay longer. I would definitely go back and would recommend it to family and friends.

The resort was exceptional in every way, the location in proximity to Williamsburg, the actual cottage, the cleanliness and amenities along with the professionalism of the staff made this stay a very memorable one at our son-in-laws recent graduation at W&M college.

great family place to stay in williamsburg

I would highly recommend this location to stay if travelling in the williamsburg area. It was a clean, well kept house with plenty of room for all. Location to attractions was ideal. Indoor pool was highly enjoyed by the kids and the fitness center is very nice. Staff was very accomodating. We will definitely return.

Great deal

We stayed in a 3 bedroom cottage with 5 adults and two teenagers, and the accommodations were spacious and comfortable. The resort was centrally located to many of the Williamsburg area attractions and there were plenty of amenities on-site including indoor and outdoor pools, basketball and tennis courts. We wish we could have stayed longer!

Great Value in Williamsburg

For less than the price of a cramped hotel room you can stay in a townhome with two bedrooms and two and 1/2 baths with a well stocked eat in kitchen. It was perfect for a family of four. The aquatic center was very nice as well. We would definitely return here again.
