Good Value
Les Alpages offers small but well-designed and well-equipped apartments in an alpine village that is a center for hiking in the summer and skiing in the winter. While our rooms were small and the availability of staff limited, the apartment came fully equipped with an excellent range of kitchen appliances and a cable television. The terrace of our apartment offered an excellent view of a mountain across the valley. While our apartment theoretically slept six, we found it tight but cozy for four. Pralognan, where Les Alpages is located, is more a center for summer homes and hotels than a remote alpine village. Nonetheless, we found great hiking there and enjoyed the wide range of recreational facilities, stores, and activities that the village offers. Overall, Les Alpages was a great value in a great village.
Traveler's tip on recreational activities
One of the advantages of Pralognan is that the village has a public pool, miniature golf and more to occupy kids who are reluctant to hike and families that don’t want to venture out on the trails when the weather is bad.
