Good hotel in downtown Tacoma
We were attending a Tacoma Dome event. This hotel turned out to be an excellent choice. There were a few restaurants, starbucks, bakery within walking distance, as well as UW/Tacoma. Convention center right accross street. There was a free tram/train that we could catch from right outside the hotel over to the Tacoma Dome. Only about 5 minutes away. Only problem was that it stopped running well before our event was over. But it was easy to get a cab back to hotel. Hotel desk staff very friendly. Hotel condition was very good. Self park was a little bit awkward. Across and down street in a grungy & dark parking lot. Wouldn’t recommend an alone arrival in that lot. If so, do the valet parking for only $5 more/night. Would definitely go back.
Traveler's tip on local attractions
Glass museum is nearby, within walking. I thought the $12 entrance fee was very steep for what there was. A bit anticlimactic once inside. Right near glass museum is nice restaurant called Woody’s by the water.

Awesome
This hotel and staff are awesome. They made our trip very relaxing and enjoyable. Would love to go back for our anniversary in October but we live 7 hrs away so it probably won’t happen. Parking is a challenge for this hotel, but they handled it very efficiently.

Tacoma Surprise!
Best stay I’ve had in a long time... staff and chef (morning breakfast bar) were extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Would stay there every time I go to Tacoma! JNM
