Beware
I was dissapointed because I booked a room with a kitchenet and I only had a microwave oven. I had problems with the TV Cable service, first I could not see anything and when they repaired it the channels were not neat. Another issue is that the curtains did not stop sunlight from the outside. I ran out of water supply one morning, there is no telephone in the rooms, so I had to walk to the lobby in order to ask for fix that problem. But the most important thing is that the hotel books loud private parties until 2 or 3 in the morning; so I had to put a pillow over my head in the nights to stop the noise and in the mornings to stop sunlight. Too much expensive for what you get.
The location of the hotel is good, plenty of supermarkets, gas station and rental offices.

Excellent service, no comfort
If you are looking for a nice hotel, I would not recommend Coconuts. We did not have water pressure or no water at all several times during our stay. When the water is working, it has a sulphur odor. However, the ladies at the front desk are extremely friendly and helpful. Anyone who has a room over the lounge can not go to sleep until after 10:30 or 11:00 p.m. due to the loud music from the lounge. If you want comfort, spend a few more extra dollars on another hotel. Have fun wherever you go on this beautiful island! The people in Belize are the greatest!!!
Traveler's tip on dining
Do not waste your time or money on the Mambo or the Rojo Village restaurants. The Wild Mango and the Blue Water Grill are fabulous! For a nice atmospher, try the Hidden Treasure. Georges Kitchen has the best seviche on the island. For a quick, cheap meal, go to Neeries which is a taco stand where you may purchase three tacos for fifty cents.

Very good for the cost.
We were surprised how nice this place was after staying at other places on Belize main land. It was very clean, and pleasant. The staff, if not overly friendly, were always helpful. The pool was having some kind of trouble, but they were working on it every day we were there trying to fix it. There was good swimming of the dock next door. We were picked up from the dock next door for every excursion that we went on, it was very convenient. The continental breakfast was a hit for the women with us toast and large plate of fruit. There is a good place for breakfast just catercorner from the hotel. We found that we could walk most of the time to down town, it is allot sorter along the beach. Taxis ran around 10 dollars Belize (5 US). I wish we could have stayed another week at the coconuts. There could have been more water pressure for the bathroom sink and shower, but nothing could not live with.
Traveler's tip on local attractions
Dont miss the chicken drop on Wednesday night. Ask around most people or restaurants will tell you were it is. We eat at several restaurants I loved them all, I try-ed conk 6 diffident was loved all of them. We normally walked down town in the evening then took a taxi back.
