Well Be Back!
There were 4 of us and we got the 2 adjacent rooms requested. Staff, with 1 exception, were great - friendly and very helpful. The rooms were clean and quiet and with enough space for all 4 of us to congregate. Best part was the location which was within easy walking distance to the water, shops and restaurants. We never moved our car and the daily parking fee was less than other hotels. Continental breakfast was fine but the restaurant down the block , "The Cottage" was fantastic. Even when we had to stand in line it went quickly. The food was delicious and reasonably priced with the best service.
Must eat breakfast or lunch at The Cottage.

NICE!
Looking at prices for quite awhile...this is deffinelty the best value for your money. Walking distance to La Jolla Cove. Had friends staying at hotel right on the La Jolla Shores beach and was not impressed. He paid for a high price hotel and got a "motel" room. Our room was wonderful! The bedding was awesome! I dont think I have slept that good away from home in a long time. Walking distance to a lot of neat restraunts and shops!

Great find!
This is a great location for anyone who wants to enjoy exploring the La Jolla Village. If you have a car, its easy to get around and back to I-5. I loved having the apples available in the afternoon, and the breakfast was excellent. The restaurant is a bit spendy, but also very good (wonderfully personable bartender when I was there, too ;-).
Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks
If you have a schedule conducive to parking after 6 pm and leaving by 9 am, you can save money by parking on the street -- the one-hour limit starts at 8 am. But you do need to heed those times because I did see a meter readers coming up the street as I was leaving one morning.
