good place to stay in cabo

The Riu Palace met our expectations. It was a good place to stay, nice pool area, plenty of food & beverages (available anytime). The food was not fantastic but certainly good. There really wasn’t any top shelf booze available. However, that is pretty much what you sign up for when staying at an all inclusive. I would certainly stay there again and would recommend the Riu to anyone.

Sun, desert, whales and service

From check in to check out the Riu Palace did not fail to meet our expectations. The staff was tremendously helpful and outgoing and very patient when we tried to use our limited Spanish. Hotel grounds were immaculate; rooms were small but comfortable and, since we were only in the room long enough to change clothes, it didn’t matter. While the buffet was pretty much run of the mill, the speciality restaurants were quite good. We dined at all but the Mexican restaurant (ran out of nights) and were very impressed with Krystal. The salmon, Chilean sea bass and lamb were on par with the best entrees we have ever eaten. Our experience at the steak house was fantastic. My husband expressed his love of lobster and was served almost more than he could eat. The swimming pools were comfortably warm enough for January and well maintained. Whale watching is a must if you are there at the right time of year. One of the most awesome experiences of my life-following a pair of humpbacks for an hour. Rui Palace id bands give guests access to the Rui Santa Fe, immediately adjacent to the Palace. The night life at the Santa Fe is more lively than the Palace. Also appears to be a somewhat younger group of folks. Go and Enjoy.
