Dissapointed
From the moment we walked into the room....myself, wife and kids were dissapointed. The rooms just didn’t have a good feel to them. Only two very small and slow elevators. We ended up taking the stairs half the time. We could hear all the noise from the adjoining room. No way to controll the AC or heat. Our room didn’t even have AC. It was warm in the room so we slept with the window open letting in the outside noise. After walking into some of the other nearby hotels that were much superior....we will be staying elsewhere when we return to NY.

Hotel St. James - Times Square
This hotel is adequate if you’re looking for something in expensive for a night but don’t plan a long stay. It will drive you nuts. Not terribly attentive staff, tiny, creaky elevators, smal rooms, not updated, pipes will knock all night and keep you awake, not very well insulated between rooms, could hear the neighbors easily, no computer key locks on doors, had to turn in the key everytime we left the hotel, annoying and not terribly secure.

Not impressed
Found body hairs and hair elastics in bed. Evident bed not changed and confirmed when Front Desk indicated linens changed only every two days although I checked in only that afternoon. Despite findings in bed, housekeeping staff sent with clean replacement sheets (just two flat sheets, no new pillowcases) had no intention of remaking the bed for me and did not even stop eating his apple when I answered the door.
