Good Location. Very appreciative of the easy early check in with an early flight arrival.

Good Location and wonderful connection to the metro. Very appreciative of the extremely easy "early" check in because of an early flight arrival from Berlin.

Great hotel in a great location

I chose this hotel because I noticed someone had replied to many of the other reviews. I thought that showed the hotel was concerned with their guests’ experiences. This turned out to be 100% correct. My room was clean and well-lit. The staff were all friendly and knowledgeable. They were willing to help me find places I wanted to visit, and also were willing to chat for a few minutes if I felt like it. I’m sure if I had any problems with the room they would have done their best to make my stay more comfortable. This hotel is also next to a large Metro station, giving you easy access to the entire city. I highly recommend this hotel, especially if you want a place that cares about your comfort.

Good for a single traveler

Hotel is conveniently located. Room was extremely small (single bed and the width of the room was barely twice the width of the bed).

Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay

This hotel is just a few blocks from several attractions and the tour bus route to see more. Lots of great bistros and shops all around.

Dear, I agree our rooms are not big compare to American standards but they are all the same size for this area of Paris which is the center next to Gare Saint lazare train station and Department stores Printemps and Galeries lafayette. The moderate price we sell our rooms for this location is also based on the room size. Thank you for writing a review on your stay.

Good location

Small room but good enough for short stay for the expedia price

Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay

Close to Gare Saint-Lazare. Park on the outskirts of town and ride the metro in.

not impressed

The room was the size of a closet, there was mold smell, and the window opened up to cement walls with pipes running down them. I had to look straigt up to see the sky. They were not very helpful at the front desk.

Great Low Cost option

This hotel was exactly what I was looking for, the room was tidy and comfortable and the travel connections were very good. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I spent little time at the hotel and used it only as a base for long days sightseing. The connections to the airport were convienent as well.

Close to everything

We arrived to no hot water and the elevator was broken. The room was tiny, not much room to move, but it’s ok if all you need to do is sleep. The Tube and shops are very close. It’s convenient in that respect.

The lift were not broken but temporary out of order, usually it needs no more than 4 hours to be fixed unless the disorder happen on the week-end. In the last 6 years, I never had any problem with our heating system and hot water unless there were some construction in the street and Paris city service stopped supplying us for half day. I apologize for all those unconveniences independent of us.

Friendly but pitiful

If it were not for the friendly and helpful desk clerk, I would have been frightened to stay there. Hotel was in a good location with access to metros, but the mattress and room was a bit like a college dormitory.

I am really sorry our guest from salt lake city has not liked his stay with us. We repainted all our rooms last winter 2008 and bed and mattress were refurnished in 2005.

Near to the station

- The reception was good. the windows are not good you can hear everything in the street. - The carpets are very dirty. the bed and the bathroom are clean. - The only advantage of this hotel is the location near the main station and the Lafayette.

I am sorry for the street noise, All our rooms are equipped with double window. You should have not hesitated to complain to the front desk and I will have given you a new room on the back side. I changed the carpet in all our room in 2006 but I know I have 3 rooms in the entire hotel with stains .

Great...if you’re not planning to be in your room much

This room met my needs perfectly. It was in a great area close to lots of sights. The room was the basics, nothing fancy, but perfect for sleeping and showering before spending the day touring the sights of Paris. The reception desk staff was very friendly and extremely helpful in getting transportation (last minute) to the airport after we’d missed our bus. I would recommend a stay!

Small, aging hotel but well situated

The rooms are very small, but this is typical for the price range in European hotels. The windows had trouble closing, but the room was clean. Service is fine.

Nice place.

this is a very nice hotel...a little outdated, but the rates can’t be beat and it’s in a great location. rooms are small. i’d certainly recommend this hotel to people who don’t plan to stay in their room much, just the basics and don’t want to spend a lot.

Traveler's tip on dining

There is a Monop grocery store right around the corner. Paris is expensive, but you can save some money by grabbing breakfast or lunch at the grocery and then spending more on a great dinner in the city.

Charming Traditional European Hotel

I’ve stayed in many hotels throughout Europe and this was one of my favorites. The concierge were always nice and helpful, always ready to chat and make recommendations. The hotel is right across the street from Gare St-Lazare with 5 different metro lines and a couple of RER lines. There are a ton of great restaurants just steps away, a mall and a department store a couple of blocks away, and I found 2 grocery stores nearby. Across the street, facing the hotel, is an indie film theater. My only complaint about my room was the bathroom ceiling which looked unfinished and was boarded up with vinyl slats. There was no A/C in the room but I got a terrace; leaving one of the balcony doors opened throughout the day was sufficient even in July.

Not Impressed

The rooms were small, breakfast was extra, and internet access was expensive.

Great location and helpful staff.

Great location and helpful staff. 50 meters to Gare St. Lazare and plenty of eateries around. 15 minute walk to Place de la Concorde and Champs Elysee. Small rooms, but if you are not planning to spend much time in (I assume you do not want to do that if you are in Paris)it is tolerable. Good value for your money.

Excelent location, cheap hotel.

This hotel has a good relation between price/benefit. The instalations are kind reduced, but comfortables. Good choice if you plan to stay 1 or 2 days in Paris saving some bucks near to the commercial area of Paris.
